It's Shark Week!!!!

Happy Shark Week!!!!!!!

Hello my loves and Happy Wednesday!  Hope your week is going well and that you have been catching some shark shows on Discovery Channel if you have it.  I love Shark Week every year.  I'm super scared of sharks, probably thanks to my parents letting us kids watch all the Jaws movies when we were little, lol, and well, sharks can kill you.  That being said, I am very fascinated by sharks of all kinds.  I really enjoy watching the shows on sharks and learning about them, they are interesting creatures.  So, in honor of Shark Week this year, I of course had to do some more shark nails.  Last year was my first shot at Shark Week nails and the side view sharks ended up looking like snakes so this year did a fin and a front face of a shark instead and wrote the words "Shark Week".  I liked last year's nails okay, but love this year's.  Should have used a red, darker gray or black for the words to show up better though.  Oh well, I love them anyways and am super proud of this year's Shark Week nails. You can see last year's here if you would like http://musingswithmelly.blogspot.com/2016/06/happy-shark-week.html

Here you go!!!!  My base here is Essie "Avenue Maintain".  The glitter on my thumbs and pinkies is Color Club "Sexy Siren".  I used a few different polishes I didn't bother writing down with nail art brushes and a dotting tool to draw the sharks, fins and words.

Avenue Maintain on it's own. This blue is really , really pretty!
Here's the only two sharky things I own :)  I've been wearing the necklace all this week for Shark Week.
There you have my Shark Week nails.  Hope you like them.

Here's my friend, Vanessa's, cat Salem enjoying Shark Week too.  I love this picture of him.  She posted it on Facebook yesterday and I told her I was so stealing this for my post today.  And, he's a black cat too, so, there's that :)  That's it for today, have a great rest of the night. Next week I will be doing some more shark nails for the premiere of Sharknado 5, the movie, on SciFi Channel on August 6th.  I can't wait for this 5th installment of the cheesiest shark movies ever!!!!  I'm planning some stormy sharks of some sort, they will be fun.  Talk soon!!

Sponged Stripes

Happy Hump Day My Loves,

Hope you are well and that your week is going good.  Mine is going alright, uneventful and I am so a-okay with that. Boring is good, lol :)

Tonight I have some pretty cool stripey nails I did.  I think these are really cute and they were super easy to do. I used an eyeshadow applicator and sponged the polish onto the nails to create the stripes.  I really like these nails a lot, hope you do too :)

My base here is Essie "Resort Romanza"  I used China Glaze "Casual Friday", China Glaze "All Glammed Up" and Sally Hansen X-treme Wear "Jam Sesh" for the striped nails. I then put a coat of China Glaze "Fairy Dust" on top of those.  The glitter is L.A. Colors "Craze".

Resort Romanza on it's own.  I LOVE this shade, it's really juicy looking and was so pretty on it's own too!!!
That's it for the nails tonight.  These were fun!!!

Your feel good for tonight is:

"It's the little things in life that make a big difference."

This one is too freaking awesome, I love, love, love it!!

Have a great rest of the night and I'll talk to you soon, soon!  I leave you with Princess Pebbles, my total princess kitty :)

Da...na...na...na.....naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa........

Happy Thursday Loves!!!

Hope your week is going well and that you had a nice 4th of July yesterday if you celebrate the USA's Independence Day!  I was off work and I cleaned the apartment and took a nap, it was a very uneventful day and I was so okay with that. Casey, myself and one our best friends, Amy, had gone up camping in Potter County, PA over the weekend.  We went to see some really pretty fireworks,, hung out at our camp at the bus (the 1939 school bus that my Dad had converted to a camp a bazillions years ago and it's awesome), chilled out by the fire then explored the ruins of the Austin Dam up there when we left. We had a super awesome fun time this past weekend. I love going up there and I truly feel my Dad all over at camp when we go there and it's nice since he's not here any longer.

The nails I have tonight are some that I did like a month and a half or so ago I think.  Back in the 90's when Beverly Hills, 90210 first came on with it's pilot episode I was fan from that very first episode. I never missed an episode ever thru the entire series which went like 10 years I think.  It was a show about a family that moved from Minnesota to Beverly Hills and follows them from high school to college to adulthood.  It also did touch on some touchy subjects.  It was a really good show.  I was such a 90210 junkie and if I come across a rerun on TV now you better believe I turn it on.  I loved 90210!!!!  It was the bomb back in the day, oh hell, who am I kidding, it's still the bomb now to watch on reruns :)

My base was China Glaze "Chalk Me Up!".  I stamped using Kleancolor "Metallic Sapphire" and MoYou "Back the the 90's - 01" plate.  I put a coat of a "Melly Mix" on my thumb and pinky and the glitter is L.A. Colors "Splatter". I was kinda irritated with the Kleancolor,  the image ended up getting smeared when I top coated it and I swore it was dry enough.

Chalk Me Up on it's own, this is really pretty blue I think!!!
Hope you like my 90's 90210 nails, def. going to use this image again and hope it's better next time.  I also hope that the 90210 theme song is in your head too now :) Da...na...na...na....naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.... :)

Your feel good for tonight is:

"Every great journey starts with a first step."

This one is sooper dooper amazing!

That's it for today.  Have a great rest of the night and I'll talk to you soon!

I leave you with Mr. Kitty and Miss Betty looking too cute :)  They are so adorable when they cuddle together :)
