PA Farm Show 2023

Happy Caturday!!!

Hope you are well. I am great! Yesterday Casey and I went to The Pennsylvania Farm Show. It's the largest indoor agriculture Show in the United States and it is awesome. I love so much about it, the animals, the food, the people, the educational displays, the list goes on. It's a lot of fun! We were there from 8:30 in the morning until 6:30 last night. We were so tired but a good tired. I also ran into about 20 people I know so that was really awesome too.

For my nails I did a farmer feeding his pigs. I think these turned out super cute.

My bases are Night Owl Lacquer I Smell Snow (shimmer) and BCB Lacquers Live Like No Other (flakie). I stamped using Maniology M102, Hit the Bottle Home Harvest 01, Clear Jelly Stamper CJS-138 and Apipla Nature plates with different stamping polishes.

There are my pigs. Here's a couple pics from the day. I took a lot more but have lots of editing to do yet so maybe I'll put them in a future post.

Have a great Caturday, talk soon ❤

PA Farm Show 2022

Happy Thursday,

Hello my loves. Today's nails are farm themed since this week is Pennsylvania Farm Show week. This is a very large agriculture event for our state and one of my very favorite things to go to each year. Last year it was canceled due to covid. This year it is back. Normally we go on Thursday but are sitting this year out because of covid numbers being way up again. I am vaccinated but just don't feel comfortable going this year since it is all inside. We have been watching it on a local cable channel that airs it all week so at least we have that. I will miss seeing all the animals and the food. Maybe next year will be more normal and we will go then. I hope so.

Supporting the small farmer is so important to me and so dear to my heart. It does really bum me out not going but at least I can show my support this year thru my nails. So, here they are. I am so happy with these and in love with how they came out. They make so happy!

My base is Polished For Days 2022. I used Quixotic Polish Arctic Glow for the sky on the stamped nails. I used Maniology M102, Whats Up Nails B061, Lantern and Wren Critter Comfort and Lesly Bambino 1 plates with different brands stamping polishes for the images.

That's it for today. Please support your small local farmers wherever you are. We need them. Talk soon!

Summer Walk In the Country

Happy Monday,

It's Monday... I hope you are doing well and that you had a good weekend. I am good and the weekend was low key for me. I have a busy week this week. Over lunch today I am hooking a wellness camera up at my Mom's, tonight I get my hair cut, tomorrow my car gets inspected (hope it doesn't need anything), Wednesday night I am volunteering at a horse show and Friday after work Miss Betty has a vet appointment so I am looking at a busy week outside of work this week!

Today's nails I did yesterday and I really am in love with these. I grew up in the country and these remind me of walking, driving or riding the horses down the country road and this is what we would see, trees, clouds, sky, birds, trees and power lines. I love these. They make me happy! I do wish I would have used a sparkly white for the clouds but oh well.

My base is Enchanted Polish "Rare Candy". I sponged Picture Polish "NakoAom" and ILNP "1Up" on the nails to be stamped to create my background. I stamped using Whats Up Nails B061 plate with all Maniology stamping polishes.

There you have my Summer scene nails. These make me so happy. Have a great week, talk soon. I leave you with Miss Betty, the absolute cutest kitty in the whole entire world. She is my heart!

2021 PA Farm Show (or not)..Sniffle....Sniffle...

Happy Caturday,

Today's nails are farm themed since today would have been the start of the annual Pennsylvania Farm Show. It is obviously not happening in real life this year due to Covid. It will be virtual but that is just not the same as being there in person and seeing all the animals, the food, old friends that I always run into, learning about different things in the agriculture world and so much more, sigh.

The PA Farm Show is one event I always greatly look forward to each year, It has a lot of small farmers that exhibit there and the small farmer is very important to me to support. I grew up in the country so know and have known quite a few small farmers over the years and it is so important to support them. The PA Farm Show does just that.

I am so saddened that there is no Farm Show this year but in order to show my support for farmers and the farm life I am still going to do some nails for this week for "Farm Show Week". You can learn more about the PA Farm Show here: https://www.farmshow.pa.gov/Pages/default.aspx?fbclid=IwAR1ngIPt3mbdjYqxoQuXITroboko2ChKzj3ikTmGKjceUPtwXWnTdvqmoEg

So, for my nails I decided to do some Winter farm scene nails so barns and cows it is. I totally love how these came out, they are so cute I think :) Hope you enjoy them too!

My base is F.U.N. Laquer "Frozen". I stamped with Whats Up Nails black and white stamping polish and colored in the images with China Glaze "Sweet As Pinkie Pie", China Glaze "Hey Sailor" and Sally Hansen X-treme Wear "Bare It All". The images are from Whats Up B061, Kads Nature 033 and Born Pretty BP-L086 plates. I used Funky Fingers "Gesso" to sponge on the snow and then put F.U.N. Laquer "Chemistry" on top of the snow to make it sparkle. On my pinkies and thumbs is one coat of Finger Paints "Sparkle With Me". Please excuse the cuticle sores/redness on a few fingers. I got a new cuticle remover and metal pusher and went a bit crazy removing and pushing my cuticles. I normally use the blue Sally Hansen one and a wooden stick so I have to get used to a metal one.

Frozen on it's own. Love this for the base for these nails.

That's it for today. I will probably do one more farm themed mani this coming week so will talk to you then. I leave you with Mr. Kitty sleeping with a catnip toy that my sister made for the cats for Christmas. He is so cute when he does this with his toys. He is a cute kitty!

Farmer's Fair 2019

Happy Tuesday My Loves,

Hello my friends, I hope you are well and that life is good. It's good my way, still getting over being sick but otherwise good!

This past weekend Casey and I went with his family to a farmers fair and fall parade on Saturday. It's always so much fun and the parade is fun to watch. Then on Sunday we went to a Fall fest that my Mom's church does. I took a boatload of rocks for kids and a lot of adults too to paint. It was super fun and the rocks were really a huge hit. People probably painted around 100 rocks, it was pretty great!

For the Farmers Fair I did some farm themed nails and really am super happy with the way these turned out. I love them and hope you do too :)

My base is Essie "Hay There". I sponged China Glaze "Westside Warrior" and China Glaze "Chalk Me Up!" on the nails to be stamped. I stamped using Funky Fingers "Dark Knight" with Born Pretty BP-L086, Clear Jelly Stamper 138 and Creative Shop 90 plates. I put a coat of Starlight Polish "Din" on my pinkies and thumbs to finish.

Hay There on it's own, this was perfect for the base for these nails I think!
At the fair I met up with an old dear friend of mine that I had not seen in quite a few years, it was great. This first pic of my dear sweet Susie and the second one is of her son Dave and I being silly. He's a great kid and really cool :)
That's it for today. Have a great night and I'll talk to you soon. I leave you with Miss Betty :)
