Summer Splatter

Happy Weekend My Loves,

I hope you are well, safe and staying healthy. I am okay. Life has been uneventful with nothing open and everything cancelled so not much to report in my life goings on. My sister has been coming in again on Saturday nights to hang out which has been nice again since we had stopped during the state shut down. We also are going camping this coming weekend. The annual fireworks have been cancelled but that's okay, we have other stuff planned to do so all is good :)

Today I decided to do a bright summery splatter since I have not done a splatter in forever. I think these turned out super pretty but not a fan of this glitter as I didn't realize that the base turned cloudy from the pink glitter bleeding some over the years. I've had this polish for a long long time and not sure yet if it's going to go on the purge pile or not. I hate cloudy or colored bases for my glitter polishes but I like these colors in this so may just save it and use it on a pink, red or orangey base again. But, more than likely I'll purge it since I really dislike colored bases with glitter, lol.

My base is Orly "Oh Snap" from their current summer collection out now. This formula on this bright yellow was really nice for a shade like this, glad I bought this one. I used a cut in half straw and then did the splatter with China Glaze "UV Meant To Be" and Orly "Out the Top Down". The glitter is Venique "Meshing Around". Regardless of my dislike of the cloudy glitter polish, I do really like these nails. I think they did turn out super pretty. I did blow a bit too hard on my one ring finger on the blue and it ended covering all the yellow but oh well, still is cute me thinks :)

Oh Snap on it's own, this is a pretty yellow!
That's it for today. Have a great rest of Sunday and a good week. Talk soon. Here's cats from last weekend on Sunday when we were all being quite lazy!

It's Summertime Peaches

Happy Sunday Loves,

Happy weekend my friends. It's Dad's Day. Make sure to spend some time with your father if he is still around. My Dad passed in 2016 so I don't have a Dad to spend any time with any longer on this Dad's day, sniffle, sniffle. I miss my Dad so much and am so thankful I had the awesome Dad I did have.

It's also officially Summer, yay! Not like there is a whole lot that is going to happen this Summer since Covid-19 has pretty much forced everything to be cancelled or postponed until next year. Oh well, we do have some camping bus trips planned and I am totally looking forward to those!

So, for my first official summer nails I decided to do some peaches. I have had peaches on my nail to do for some time now and decided this was a perfect time to do them. I think they turned out super cute and I love the addition of the dots. Think it pulled all the peach nails together. Hope you like them too :)

My base is China Glaze "Can't Stop Branchin':. I used Essie "Perfect Mate", China Glaze "Athlete Chic" and Essie "Pretty Edgy" to draw the peaches with nail arts brushes. The dots I did with a dotting tool and Essie "Feeling Wellies". On my pinkies and index nails is a coat of Color Club "Kind + Aligned" to finish.

Can't Stop Branchin' on it's own. It dried matte and is pretty this way I think.

That's all for today. Have a great Sunday, talk soon. I leave you with Miss Betty snuggling with Mommy one day after work. She is my baby girl and I love her so much!

First Camp Trip of 2020

Happy Sunday Friends,

Hello my friends, it's been a couple weeks since my last post. We went to our family camp last weekend finally for the first time this year. Usually by this time of year this would have been our second or third trip to camp but since the pandemic happened and stay at home orders we were not able to get up until last weekend. All was well at camp and we had such a great time. It truly was so nice to get away for a few days. Two of our best friends, Nick and Leah, came with us and we had so much fun! I have lots of pictures below my nails on this post of our trip to camp.

My base is Orly "Gotta Bounce" (which got completely covered up when I added the background colors and the simmery polish on top, oh well, will just use it again as a base for other nails). I used a flat nail art brush and Sally Hansen "Resurrection", China Glaze "Recycle" and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri "Show Steel-er" to create the background on the stamped nails. I stamped using Funky Fingers "Dark Knight" with ZZ Forest 2, Clear Jelly Stamper CJS-67 and Harunouta L072 plates. I then put one coat of Color Club "Good Vibes Only" on my thumbs and pinkies to finish this mani.

Gotta Bounce on it's own.
Loved these nails. I think they turned out really pretty!

We saw so many elk on the way up to camp this time. I had never seen so many in life before. It was awesome! I think we saw so many since this was the first time I ever put elk on my nails :)

This is a spot we stop at every time on the way to or from camp. I love it, it's so pretty, peaceful and serene here.

This is Saturday evening at camp when we were all just chilling. It's so relaxing hanging at camp.

This is the Coudersport Ice Mine. It's really neat. It only freezes in the warm months and is water in the cold months. One of those strange natural phenomenons. Science channel did a segment on this place on Secrets of the Underground show.
I hid this rock at the ice mine.

Big Foot also lives there, here's proof he does exist! :)

This is the Austin Dam Memorial Park. This dam broke in the early 1900's, claimed 78 lives and is now a really nice memorial park. I love this park. It's so pretty and such a nice way to remember those who lost their lives in this tragedy. Here's lots of pics of the dam ruins. It was such a beautiful day out too that day.

I hid some rocks at the dam park too!

This is the Bayless Paper Mill ruins. The dam supplied water to the mill to make the brown paper that meat gets wrapped in.

These pretty purple flowers were all over this weekend. They were so pretty and everywhere!
It was a full moon also. Here the moon is coming up Friday night. Think it looks so cool and it was so pretty!

Here's some shots from camp. It truly is our home away from home and so relaxing and peaceful there. I love it!

There you have our first camp trip of the year. We will be going back next month and I cannot wait! Have a great rest of the of weekend, stay safe and healthy, talk soon!
