Happy Sunday Friends,
Hello my friends, it's been a couple weeks since my last post. We went to our family camp last weekend finally for the first time this year. Usually by this time of year this would have been our second or third trip to camp but since the pandemic happened and stay at home orders we were not able to get up until last weekend. All was well at camp and we had such a great time. It truly was so nice to get away for a few days. Two of our best friends, Nick and Leah, came with us and we had so much fun! I have lots of pictures below my nails on this post of our trip to camp.
My base is Orly "Gotta Bounce" (which got completely covered up when I added the background colors and the simmery polish on top, oh well, will just use it again as a base for other nails). I used a flat nail art brush and Sally Hansen "Resurrection", China Glaze "Recycle" and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri "Show Steel-er" to create the background on the stamped nails. I stamped using Funky Fingers "Dark Knight" with ZZ Forest 2, Clear Jelly Stamper CJS-67 and Harunouta L072 plates. I then put one coat of Color Club "Good Vibes Only" on my thumbs and pinkies to finish this mani.
Gotta Bounce on it's own. |
Loved these nails. I think they turned out really pretty!
We saw so many elk on the way up to camp this time. I had never seen so many in life before. It was awesome! I think we saw so many since this was the first time I ever put elk on my nails :)
This is a spot we stop at every time on the way to or from camp. I love it, it's so pretty, peaceful and serene here.
This is Saturday evening at camp when we were all just chilling. It's so relaxing hanging at camp.
This is the Coudersport Ice Mine. It's really neat. It only freezes in the warm months and is water in the cold months. One of those strange natural phenomenons. Science channel did a segment on this place on Secrets of the Underground show.
I hid this rock at the ice mine. Big Foot also lives there, here's proof he does exist! :)
This is the Austin Dam Memorial Park. This dam broke in the early 1900's, claimed 78 lives and is now a really nice memorial park. I love this park. It's so pretty and such a nice way to remember those who lost their lives in this tragedy. Here's lots of pics of the dam ruins. It was such a beautiful day out too that day.
I hid some rocks at the dam park too!
This is the Bayless Paper Mill ruins. The dam supplied water to the mill to make the brown paper that meat gets wrapped in.
These pretty purple flowers were all over this weekend. They were so pretty and everywhere!
It was a full moon also. Here the moon is coming up Friday night. Think it looks so cool and it was so pretty!
Here's some shots from camp. It truly is our home away from home and so relaxing and peaceful there. I love it!
There you have our first camp trip of the year. We will be going back next month and I cannot wait! Have a great rest of the of weekend, stay safe and healthy, talk soon!
