Happy Hippos

Happy Sunday,

Quick post today. I'm trying to get some cleaning and other stuff done today around home. I was at my cousin's graduation party yesterday and it was so much fun seeing family members for the first time in months! So today I have to get stuff done at home 😊

Today's nails are some super cute hippos. I think these are so cute. Hope you do too!

My bases are Holo Taco "Circuit Breaker" (thumb, index & pinkies) and Pahlish "Silfra" (middle & ring). I stamped using Whats Up Nails B012 plate and all Maniology stamping polishes.

That's it for today. Have a great Sunday, talk soon.

Summer Means Watermelon

Happy Summer, Yay ❤

Summer is officially here! I love Summer and Summer time fun. I do like hot weather, but could do without the humidity when it gets bad. Other than that Summer is nice.

So, for my first day of Summer nails I decided on some juicy watermelon. I think these came out super cute and I am a fan 😊 I hope you enjoy them too.

My bases are Different Dimension "Say Aloe To My Little Friend" (thumb, index & pinkie) and Emily de Molly "Layers of Love" (middle & ring). I stamped using Maniology M209 plate with Whats Up Nails "Neither Noir", Hit the Bottle "Emeralds Are Forever" and "Psycho Pink" stamping polishes.

Have a great first day of Summer, talk soon! I leave you with my view from the most perfect weather night this past Wednesday at a horse show I was volunteering at. I actually have one show a week I'm volunteering at for the next six weeks. I love seeing old horse friends and making new ones at these shows. I have a great time! Stay tuned for a compilation post of horse nails six weeks from now. I am going to just do one post with all my horsey nails then!

Lab Love

Happy Caturday, but today it's a dog day!  Over the years my family has had quite a few Labrador Retrievers. They were all great dogs and I loved each and every one of them dearly and deeply. Mom had them all certified as therapy dogs and each one was a super therapy dog and did a great job at their therapy jobs. Sadly they are all at Rainbow Bridge with my Dad now. Mom currently has a Beagle and a mutt mix of some sort, we really don't know what is in her. It is a bit odd with no Labs currently in the family. I love Labs, they are truly big wonderful, silly, goofy, smart and amazing dogs.

So, to honor all the Labs that have been in my life I did some Lab nails (finally, they have been on my to do list for a long while now). I did do the second ones last night and was not happy with the outline on the chocolate Lab so I redid them this morning. I am not really sure which mani I like better though now that I see them both. I do like the chocolate outline on the ones I did this morning better. I think they both do say "Lab Love" quite nice either way!

These are the ones I did this morning. My bases are ILNP "Countdown" (thumb, index & pinkies) and Cupcake Polish "King's Gambit" (middle & ring). I stamped using Born Pretty L016 and Maniology CYO x Maniology M097 plates with Maniology and Hit the Bottle stamping polishes.

These were my original go at them. I would have loved them had I used a light color to outline the chocolate. Oh well, such is life. My bases are Color Club "Starlight, Star Bright" (pinkie, index & thumb) and Candy Lacquer "Gingerbread Girl" (middle & ring). I stamped using the same Born Pretty L016 and Maniology CYO x Maniology M097 plates with Maniology and Twinkled T stamping polishes.

Here's a bunch of pics below of the Labs we had in our lives :) Enjoy :)

This is Gracie here. She was adopted as a senior dog when we lost Harley and was only around for around two years. She was the last dog in Dad's life and I truly believe she was put with our family for a reason with Dad being sick and dying with cancer then. She was so gentle and good . She got bone cancer a little less than a year after Dad passed. It was so sad when we lost her. She was so good! That's my mom and her in the third picture below.

This is Harley, my family had her for a good long time too. She was also a therapy dog and a good one. She was a total sweetheart and a really good dog. This is me below with her.

This is Buddy, my family had him for many a years. He was a great dog, my favorite of them all. He was also a top therapy dog. My mom did over 700 visits to old folks homes, hospitals and rehab centers with him. He excelled at therapy dog work. He had so much personality. He was the world's BEST dog ever! This is him and mom in the one below picture after she had a hip replacement and had to use a walker while recovering. You can see how he was so devoted and paying attention to her. He also had this old horse water bucket that he absolutely loved. It was one of his most prized possessions, he loved that bucket :)

This is Dash, another one of the family Labs. He was a really nice dog but we unfortunately only had him around a year. He got really sick with pancreatitis and pneumonia and went down quick. It was very sad but glad we had him the time we did.

Here is a collage picture with Buddy and our two Chocolate Labs we had named Alex and Equus. They were both therapy dogs and were wonderful good dogs too. I spent a few hours today going thru old pictures to find these and boy did a lot of good memories and smiles come to me this afternoon while doing that of not just the dogs but so many memories :)

That's it for today. Have a great rest of the weekend, talk soon! Hope you enjoyed my dog nails and all the dog pictures :)

Monsters On Mars

Happy Tuesday My Loves,

Hello my friends, hope you are doing okay. I am okay. It's Tuesday, what else to say, lol!

Today I  have some fun neon monster nails that I did last night. I was feeling like some bright neon colors and was drawn to the color orange and this plate while I was going thru stamping plates to purge some. I am currently feeling overwhelmed by the amount of plates in my collection so some purging time it is!! After I finished these they totally reminded me of Mars so it became Mars (at least in my head :) ). I love the way these came out and they make me smile. I hope they do you too!

My bases are Dam Polish "Ouchie Orange" (thumb, index & pinkie) and K.B. Shimmer "Hey There Pumpkin" (ring & middle). I stamped using Born Pretty "BP-L088" plate with Maniology "Straight Up Black" for the outlines. I filled in the images all with Hit the Bottle neon polishes.

You may have noticed that this above picture of my right hand pose has changed. That is due to no longer being able to bend my thumb in the old way. I have been officially diagnosed with trigger finger arthritis in my thumb. I have been forced to wear a thumb splint pretty much all the time and have had to adjust to not being able to do certain things with my right hand any longer. It has been challenging especially as I am right handed but I am getting more used to it now. It hurts all the time though and that sucks. Getting old sure is the pits!

That's it for today. Have a great day, talk soon with whatever nails I come up with next!

90's Abstract

Happy Fri-Yay, Friends,

It's almost the weekend, yay! Tomorrow I am doing my monthly cat and dog vaccine clinic volunteering then just enjoying the rest of the weekend and being a bit lazy. It's been a long week at work for a four day work week with the holiday on Monday. My co-worker/one of my best friend's mom passed on Thursday morning and she has been out this week so it's sucked at work and I am so sad for her, sigh. At least her Mom went quickly and Nancy had her into her 90's. It still just completely sucks ;(

Today's nails I am so loving. I just got this Rogue polish and new stamping plate and I absolutely am loving this abstract look. It came out looking so 1990's and I love that. The 90's I was in my 20's and it was a great time for me. I LOVED the 90's :) Hope you enjoy these nails too!

My base is Rogue Lacquer "Birthday Sprinkles". I stamped using Maniology "Orange Burst", "Kandi Spirit", "Jazzercise" and "Maui Gold" polishes with Uber Chic Mini "Texture-Licious" plate.

That's all for today. Have a great Friday. I leave you me and my situation on my couch this past weekend one day. It's pure heaven for me when I have all my black cats with me. It makes my heart so happy. This is Miss Betty, myself, King Dino and Princess Pebbles in that order :) Talk soon!
