Springy Easter Sponge

Happy Sunday, Happy Walking Dead Day my friends,

I hope you are well and that you are having a good weekend.  Mine has been uneventful, went to the DMV to get my new driver's license, the grocery store then to Mom's for a bit.  Came home did a little bit of cleaning, painted these nails, watched some Bates Motel (how I do miss that show, it was so good), chilled with the kitties and Casey then went to bed and read for a while.  It was a nice chill Saturday.  Today I don't really have any plans to do anything but be lazy, then it's Walking Dead time tonight, yay.  So, a laid back weekend which I am so okay with :)

Today I have my first Spring Easter nails which is kinda weird since it still doesn't feel like Spring or Easter time because it's cold and windy out and there's still a bunch of snow all over.  We ended up getting close to a foot of snow this past week on the first and second days of Spring, ugh!  I am so over Winter.  I want to be in skirts and flip flops, dammit!!

I decided on a sponged and glitter look for these nails.  I think they are really pretty and hope you think so too:)

I used two bases here which are China Glaze "Pilates Please" (the peach) and China Glaze "Werk It Honey!" (the yellow).  I sponged Sally Hansen X-treme Wear "Berry Juicy", Orly "Snowcone", China Glaze "At Your Athleisure" and Color Club "Lavendarling".  I put a coat of Ozotic "905 Beam" on the sponged nails.  The glitter is Heather's Hues "Bunny Tails".

Pilates Please (peach) and Werk It Honey! (yellow) on their own.  These are both from the current Spring collection out now.
I think these are perfect for my first Springy Easter nails.  I plan on doing maybe two more manis this coming week before Easter next Sunday.

Here's a super good feel good for today, I love this one, it's so true:

"There are days you just have to create your own sunshine."

This one is so fitting with the weather we've been having!

Have a great rest of the weekend, I'll chat at you soon.  I leave you with an old picture of Miss Betty, Buster (RIP my sweet old man), Dino and Mr. Kitty.

Talk soon loves!

First Day of Spring Snow???

It's Monday!!!!

It's Monday, need I say more, lol!  Today actually wasn't too bad for a Monday, but it was a Monday. So today is the last day Winter, tomorrow the first day of Spring and it's supposed to snow anywhere from 1" to 6", ugh!!  We haven't had any big big snows this Winter, a lot of smaller more annoying ones and I am so over it.  I am so done with the cold.  I hate it! Spring weather needs to get here, no more Winter!!!

So, instead of starting on my Easter nails like I originally planned, I decided on some dark nails like this extra long Winter we've having, ugh!  I also did a super simple mani tonight, it's just one accent nail of glitter on each hand.  I had to get that green off, I had two green manis in a row and was so over green for now, ha, ha!

Here you go, my dark Happy First Day of Spring Snow nails.  I did think after the fact that I should have stamped some snowflakes on but didn't feel like it. Here you be.

My base is Orly "Plum Sugar".  The glitter is Funky Fingers "Triple Dog Dare Ya".  I then put a coat of Sally Hansen Diamond Strength "Diamonds".

Plum Sugar on it's own
That's it for tonight.  I'm going to settle down early tonight in bed with a book and chill with the kitties and Casey.  Have a great night, talk soon.  Here's Mr. Kitty, Princess Pebbles and Miss Betty snuggling.

St. Paddy's Day Green Smoosh Attack!

Happy Green Beer Day Friends,

It's St. Paddy's Day!  I'm not Irish nor do I think I really have any Irish in me, but I do love so much about Ireland and the Irish culture, mostly the music, I LOVE Irish Celtic music and love hearing it around St. Paddy's Day.

So, I of course have some green nails to celebrate today.  I did some stamper smoosh nails and absolutely LOVE the way this smoosh turned out.  It's so pretty I think!

My base is Essie "Bon Boy-age".  I then did random dots on a stamper using OPI "Green Come True", OPI "Stay Off the Lawn!", Sally Hansen X-treme Wear "Hustle Up" and Broadway Nails "Moon Light" and then smooshed them all on the smooshed nails.  I did a coat of China Glaze "Big Hair & Bubbly" on my thumbs and a coat of China Glaze "Queen, Please!" on the others to finish. Hope you like them as much as I do :)

Bon Boy-age on it's own.  I just got this from Essie's new spring collection out and really like, it, it's a pretty dusty green.  Dusty are my favorites :)
There you have my Green Beer Day nails!  Hope you have a great rest of the weekend.  Tonight some friends are stopping by to hang for a bit before they go out around the corner from us then tomorrow we are going to some friends.  I am really looking forward to seeing some friends this weekend.  We have the most awesome friends in our lives and I am so blessed by that :)

I leave you with Miss Betty holding Mommy's hand while she was sleeping one day.  She does this sometimes and it melts my heart.  I cherish these moments with her so much! She's my baby baby girl! Talk soon!!

Radioactive Green Dotticure

Happy Sunday/Happy Dead Day!!!

Hello my friends, I hope you are doing well and having a good weekend. I am having an okay one, cleaned here at home and my Mom's house yesterday and cat sitting from yesterday morning thru Tuesday evening, so I've been busy.  I also got super ambitious and dusted all my polish bottles off and did a pretty big purge of polish that will get gifted to a few friends.  I had to purge some, it had been a long time since I dusted my babies off and purged, it was long overdue!

Today I have some super bright radioactive looking green and yellow nails I did this morning.  I find this green kind of super ugly yet kind of super cool too, lol :) I also kind of love these nails, they are really bright and fun I think.  Hope you like them too!

I started with a base of China Glaze "Def Defying" (the green) and China Glaze "Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" (the yellow).  I used dotting tools with China Glaze "Spring Jungle", China Glaze "Girls Just Wanna Have Sun" and Color Club "We Liming" to do the dotted nails.  I put a coat of Sally Hansen Diamond Strength "Diamonds" on the green nails to finish.

Def Defying (green) and Yellow Polka Dot Bikini (yellow) on their own.
That's it for nails for today.  I hope you have a great rest of the weekend.  I am just kinda chilling today, then going for my evening visit to the cats I am taking care of, then it's Walking Dead tonight, yay!

Here's a good feel good for today:

"Fall seven times, stand up eight."

Love this one!!!!  I'll talk to you all soon.  I leave you with lazy kitties, Miss Betty, Dino and Mr. Kitty :) Don't they have such a hard life, lol :)

Sparkly Smooshes

Happy Dead Day Loves,

Happy Sunday, hope you had a nice weekend!  Yesterday Casey and I went out to Mom's, was going to clean then ended up having to clean up a ton of roofing material crap that blew all over during the brutal wind storm we had going on for a few days.  Mom had lost power also from around 2 PM Friday until around 5 PM Saturday.  I hate when she has to deal with that kind of stuff with Dad gone now and her with her broken ankle.  So, cleaning gets done this coming Saturday instead.  We didn't lose power here at our apartment, we were lucky with this storm.

Today I have some smooshed nails I did this morning.  I hadn't done smooshy nails in awhile so I decided to today.  I love smooshy nails, they are super easy to and there's a few methods you can use to do them.  I chose to do one using a stamper for these nails.  I hope you like them, I really love these, they are so pretty I think :)

My base is China Glaze "Seduce Me".  I then did some drops of China Glaze "I Sea Ponies", Sinful Colors "Snow Me White", Kleancolor "Metallic Red" and Fresh Paint "Dark Star" and then smooshed the polish using a stamper on the smooshed nails.  I then put a coat of China Glaze "Fairy Dust" on all nails to finish.

Seduce Me on it's own, love this pretty shade of maroon.
I have a nice feel good for today, love this one:

"The sign of a beautiful person is that they always see the beauty in others."

Have a great rest of the night.  I leave you with the tigers, Gypsy (Casey's cat) and Mr. Kitty.
