Starfish & Crabs Hanging at the Beach

Happy Sunday Love Bugs,

I hope today finds you well and that life is good! Life is good my way.  This past week at work was a long one.  We are getting new software and all week our software trainer was there.  She was super cool and awesome so that was nice to work with her all week, but let me tell you, by the end of the day Friday my brain was so over saturated with info that I was so looking forward to the weekend to turn my brain off.  It won't be bad at all once we learn the new software, it's just going to take some time to get it all.

So, I didn't do much but clean, hang with the kitties then last night my sister came in and her, me and Casey watched a couple cheesy shark movies.  It was fun! Today I don't have much of anything planned but maybe a trip to 5 Below to see if they got any new nail polishes in and to pick up a couple more bottles of Funky Fingers "Black Knight" and "Gesso" since they both stamp freaking awesome and the bottles I have are starting to get a bit down.  These are two polishes I do like to have backups of since they are so nice to stamp with. We shall see though where my motivation is later on, lol :)

Today I have some super cute Summery beachy nails to share with you.  I want to get a few more Summer themed nails done yet this year since, sniffle, Summer is almost over, more sniffle sniffle.  I think these turned out adorable and the one starfish on my thumb even has an extra leg, ha ha.  I love these and hope you do too :)

My base is China Glaze "Secret Peri-Winkle". I used Loreal "Go Nude" to paint the beach. I then used nail art brushes and dotting tools with China Glaze "I Brake For Colour", China Glaze "Pilates Please", Sinful Colors "Snow Me White" and Sinful Colors "Black On Black" to draw the crabs and starfish. I put some Broadway Nails "Paradise Water" on the tips to give the ocean a little sparkle. On my index and pinky nails I put a coat of Color Club "On the Bright Side" to finish these nails.

Secret Peri-Winkle on it's own.  I've had this polish for like forever now.  It's one of the first China Glaze polishes I ever owned and I still love it :)
Have a great rest of Sunday.  I'll talk to you soon! Here's Mr. Kitty in an old pic I found of him from last Winter.  He's so cute all cuddled up in this :)

The Final SHARKNADO It's About Time

Happy Sharknado Day, YAY!!!!!

Hello my loves.  Today is the final day of SyFy's Sharknado week. Tonight is the premiere of the final installment of the Sharknado movies. It's the 6th one now.  If there is anything I love, it's cheesy shark movies and Sharknado really does take the cake with the cheese. I am so obsessed with the Sharknado movies and can't wait till tonight although I do feel a bit sad that it's the final one. Oh well, I'll always be able to watch them whenever I feel like it in the future, lol.  All week long SyFy has been showing cheesy shark movies and it's been fantastic! Our DVR is so full of dumb shark movies right now and I love it! I actually think I enjoy Sharknado week a bit more than Shark Week, lol :) My sister is coming in tonight to watch it with us as she's as obsessed as we are with shark movies!

So, of course I have some stormy shark nails to celebrate today. I think these turned out cute. My one ring finger nails does have some silver I put on but then I decided the silver was too much so didn't do it on the rest. Hope you like them too :)

My base is Sally Hansen Salon Manicure "Greige Gardens". I then did some brush strokes on the nails to be stamped and my thumbs using China Glaze "Light As Air" and China Glaze "Agent Lavender". I stamped with Funky Fingers "Dark Knight" and Bundle Monster "BM-XL211" plate. I used "Dark Knight" and a nail art brush to write on the word "Sharknado" on my thumbs. I then put a coat of Milani "Pearl-Plexed Sheer" on the rest to finish.

Greige Gardens on it's own.  This was the perfect base for shark storm nails :)
There you have my cheesy shark movie Sharknado nails.  I'll be spending the day being lazy today since we were pretty busy the last two weekends, watching all the Sharknado movies that are on all day leading up to tonight.  Have a great rest of the day.  I'll talk to you all soon.

I leave you with Miss Betty looking too cute playing with a new toy that my sister, Betty's Aunt Tina brought over for the cats the other night.  She's too cute, my baby girl, this one is :)

Black Cat Love For Black Cat Appreciation Day

Hello loves,

Today's my favorite holiday, YAY!!!! Today is Black Cat Appreciation Day!  This was started by a couple on Facebook as an awareness event to spread awareness of how black cats are stigmatized and dispel the strange myths about black cats.  I have always since I was a young girl been drawn to solid black cats.  I always just loved them. I've had a few black cats that have since gone to Rainbow Bridge and three currently in my life.  I love all kitties, but my heart and soul is with those solid black beauties. They are the best and in honor of their day I, but of course, have some nails to honor them.  If you've been thinking of adopting a cat or maybe just want to add another friend to your cat family already, please consider adopting a black one, they are the least likely to be adopted in shelters. You won't be sorry :) Black Cats, I LOVE Black Cats!!!!!!
Here's my current crew, Princess Pebbles, Dino and Miss Betty.  I love this pic of the three together.  It makes my heart so happy!
A day in the life of Melly :) I love this, this is pure heaven for me :) That's Miss Betty, Dino and Pebbles again.

Onto the nails now. I did these last night and did super simple stamping. I haven't been feeling 100% this past week with allergies from the humidity and all the rain we've been getting. It's been rough, ugh.

My base is Essie "Go Ginza".  I stamped using Funky Fingers "Dark Knight" with Moyra "51 Friends" and Chez Delaney "Chats & Chiens 001" plates.  I put a coat of a Melly Mix on the others to finish.

Go Ginza on it's own.  I love light purples like this, some of my faves :)
Here's another day in the life of Melly.  Pure heaven again :) Betty, Dino and Pebbles.
Here's Miss Betty, I love them all, but, she is my heart, she's my Momma's girl! Look how cute she is!
Dino, he's the king! Isn't he so handsome?
Princess Pebbles, she's so pretty and such a good girl! She's the princess!
Here's Bam Bam, he's waiting at Rainbow Bridge.  He was a great kitty and a really big cat!  I miss him.
Here's Fred and Barney. They were brothers and my first two I adopted.  Barney was my boy version of Miss Betty.  He was my Momma's boy.  Fred was just hilariously quirky and weird, such a cool cat. I miss them both so much.  They are waiting at the Bridge with Bammy.
Here's Sparky. He's out at my Mom and sister's. My Dad found him in a shed starving and with a hurt foot.  He's part of the family and he's an old man. He's around 15 or so now. He's really sweet. I love him!
Here's Firecracker. She was a barn cat kitten from Mom and Tina's last year.  She's a pretty feral girl living in the house.  She's Mom's cat and can't hardly touch her, ugh. She will come around, she's so tiny and cute and she does have a strong curiosity about me.
Here is Mr. Stokely. This is our friends Nick and Leah's kitty.  He's my favorite fur nephew. We take care of him when they go away and he is such a buddy and amazingly awesome sweet cat.  I love him!
That's all for this most special day today!  Have a great day and remember to appreciate those black cats today and every day!!!!

I'll talk to you on Sunday when I post my Sharknado 6 nails.  I can't wait, ha ha!

Palm Tree Sunset

Happy Sunday Loves,

I hope you are well and that life is good.  I had off of work on Friday and went to the 4-H Fair to watch my cousin's daughter show her pony.  My Mom and sister came too. It was a lot of fun and I got to see some old horse friends I hadn't seen in a long time so that was super nice.  Then some sadness when I got home from the fair.  I found our boy rabbit dead.  It was sad.  He was pretty old and I suspect his heart finally gave out. I'll miss him, he was a sweet bunny.  Yesterday Casey and I went to friends for a surprise birthday party and that was super fun. Today I am just chilling and watching cheesy shark movies since Sharknado week starts today on SyFy channel.  I am so excited for dumb shark movies all week.  So, be on the lookout for some shark nails about mid week then my Sharknado nails for next Sunday for Sharknado 6.  I can't wait, it's supposed to be the final one.

Today I have some more Summery nails. I'm trying to get more Summer nails in this month yet since before we know it Summer will be over, sniffle, sniffle.  I do love Fall, just hate the impending doom of Winter, ugh!

Onto the nails.  I love these, they turned out super cute I think :) Hope you like them too.

My base is Essie "The Fuchsia Is Bright". I sponged on OPI "Aloha From OPI" and China Glaze "Sun Worshiper" for the sunset background. I stamped using Funky Fingers "Black Knight" with Bundle Monster "BM-S409" plate. I put a coat of a Pure Ice "Busted"on the rest to finish.

The Fuchsia Is Bright on it's own. This is such a pretty pink.
I have a super awesome feel good for you today, LOVE this one:

"I can and I will.".

Love it!  Have a great day and I'll talk to you this week :) I leave you with Mr. Kitty surrounded by toys, lol :) He's a cutie :)

Splat Splat!!!

Happy Hump Day!!!

We've made it to the middle of the week, yay!  Only two more days till the weekend!  It's turning into a long work week for me, but, it's okay.  I am looking forward to the weekend for sure!

Today I have a quick post of some nails I did a few weeks ago and didn't get to post yet.  These were super fun nails and pretty easy to do.  I totally dig the way these turned out :)

I did three bases here, on my pinkies and ring nails is Sally Hansen X-treme Wear "Big Teal", on my middle and index nails is Sally Hansen X-treme Wear "Royal Hue" and my thumbs is Sally Hansen X-treme Wear "Cuteapillar".  I then did dots and used a dotting tool to drag the polish into splatters with each color of polish that I didn't keep track of since I used so many different ones.  I put a coat of China Glaze "Fairy Dust" on top of the splatters. On the rest I did a coat of Sally Hansen Miracle Gel "Diffuse" to finish.

Big Teal, Cuteapillar and Royal Hue on their own.  These look so pretty together I think :)
That's it for tonight. I'm tired today and just plan on chilling till bedtime. Have a great rest of the night.  I leave you with Miss Betty, Mr. Kitty and Dino all sleeping one day :)  I love it when they all sleep together like this, it's so cute!
