Sparkly Unicorn Stamping

Happy Sunday Loves,

Super quick post this morning as I am seriously considering redoing these nails since they came out so light with the silver I used, it washed out the white unicorn outlines, oh well, such is life and there is always next time!!

My base is Orly "Far Out". I stamped with Konad White stamping polish and Nicole Diary 061 and Beauty Big Bang XL-081 plates. I colored in the images on stamper heads using China Glaze "IDK", "BFF" and "I Sea Ponies"  waited for them to dry then put some Orly Bonder on my nails to give the dry stamps something to stick to. I then put a coat of China Glaze "Fairy Dust" on top of the stamped nails. On my pinkies and thumbs I put two coats of Indigo Bananas "SF 35 Top Coat". I really wish I would have used a darker color for the outlines for these. I am still getting this whole reverse stamping thing and will get better no doubt with practice. So, for now this will go into the somewhat of a fail files for Melly's Musings :)

Far Out on it's own, this blue is so pretty. I love it!

That's it for now, have a great day, talk soon. I leave you with my girls, Miss Betty and Princess Pebbles, too cute together on the couch last night. I love this!

Reverse Holo Stamping

Happy Sunday Loves,

Hope you are having a good weekend. I am, it's been a weekend of not doing a whole lot. Did some very light cleaning, painted some rocks and did my nails last night when my sister was here. Today will be pretty lazy too. Just some movies, videos, some reading and hanging with the kitties :) A purrfect weekend in my book.

Today I have some more reverse stamping. I am loving doing this now that I started doing it. Still need more practice transferring them to my nails but I am loving this stamping technique. I decided to add a holo top coat too since I had not done that in quite a while and I am feeling lately like doing holo so be prepared for more holo going forward :)

My base is Essie "Love-Fate Relationship". The images are from Uber Chic 14-03 plate. I colored the images in with Essie "Talk Sweet to Me", Essie "U'V Got Me Faded", Essie "Suite You Swell", Essie "Throw In the Towel" and Essie "Feeling Wellies". I put a coat of Starlight Polish "Make It Sparkle" on top of the stamped nails and on the rest is one coat of Starlight Polish "Starlight", love this holo top coat, it's a good one in my opinion, makes your creme polish SO HOLO :) :) :)

Here's my nails in all their holo glory before stamping, so so holo, I love this topcoat!!!!!

Love-Fate Relationship on it's own. This is such a pretty vampy shade, more Fall then Summer, but I am feeling in the mood for Fall lately :)

There you have my reverse stamped holo goodness nails. I like the way these turned out, I think they are pretty :)

Have a great rest of Sunday. Talk soon. I leave you with King Dino looking so cute and handsome on our seriously beat up outside chair cushion. We realllllly need to replace these stat, lol :) No one sits on them tho except for the cats so there is that, ha ha.

Summer Sunglasses & Flip Flops/Updated Stash and Set Up

Happy Sunday Loves,

Hello my friends. I hope today finds you well. I am okay, have a bit of a sore throat right now and my hips are bothering me but other than that I am good. Friday night we heard a crash and turns out the plaster ceiling gave way and came down in about half of our kitchen bringing the ceiling tiles down too. It was terrbile, so dusty and so much to clean up, ugh. We live in a really old home, it's around 100 years old and Casey thinks that the humidity may have caused some of the plaster cracking to happen. It's getting fixed this week. Think my sore throat may be because of all the dust that was stirred up and lingering. The kitchen is nice and clean now until it gets all dusty again when the ceiling is replaced. Oh well, such is life.

In other news I finally got a desk!! I had been wanting one for quite a while now and decided I was going to just get one so that I can have a dedicated area for nails and a place to do them instead of on my couch and using the coffee table as my work station. This morning was the first time I did my nails at it and it was great having this area to do my nails. I have some pics at the end of this post of my new area and updated stash/set up.

Today's nails are some summer sunglasses and flip flops. Love the sunglasses. They remind me of the ones that everyone had back in the 1980's :) My flip flops didn't come out the best but oh well I still like them :) Hope you do too!

My base is Essie "Talk to the Sand". I drew the glasses and flip flops with a nail art brush and the following polishes: Orly "Put the Top Down", Orly "It's Brittney, Beach", Orly "Melt Your Popsicle", Orly "Glowstick", China Glaze "Drink Up Witches" and Essie "Tangoed In Love". I put one coat of YC Shimmer Blast "Sweet Candy" on my pinkies and thumbs to finish. I think these are cute!

Talk to the Sand on it's own, love, love these white pinks so much!

I think these turned out cute! Here is my new set up, so excited to have this area, yay :)

The picture above my cabinet is my Mom's senior picture, that's my Dad back in the 1950's to the right of the polish rack in that black and white photo. The antlers were from a deer my Dad got and the hat was one of my Dad's. All the light jars I sponge painted and put battery operated Christmas lights in except for the one on the left with the white lights. Casey's Mom got that for me a few years ago. The rocks were all ones I painted and kept for myself instead of gifting or hiding. I love love love this set up so much! It makes me so happy!

This is the top drawer of the desk. It has all my silicone mats, stampers, extra stamper heads, tape/tape refills and all my fluid art polishes.

This is the second drawer that is just towels, my Sharpies, marbling dishes (if I ever do that again, lol) and some paper for ideas or whatever.
This is the back up drawer, has acetone, thinner, a bazillion clean up q-tips, orange sticks, cuticle trimmers, files, cut up felt for removing polish, paper plates, lint rollers (for use in stamping to remove polish if I don't use tape.
This is the shelf under my desk. On the shelf is all stamping plates and the box on the floor is polish I use for stamping and some actual stamping polish.
Here are my super amazingly awesome lights. These were fun to make and I LOVE these! Can't wait to make more in the future :)

This is the wall to the right of my desk with polish.
This rack is by our couch.
This is by our couch as well. My living room really is my polish room and I am so okay with that!!!
There you have my updated stash and set up. Hope you enjoyed seeing it as much as I enjoy it :)

Have a great rest of the weekend. I am just chilling with the kitties today and watching and some TV and reading. It's rainy out today so it's a good day to be lazy!

Today's feel good is this:

"Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."

This is a good one!

I leave you with Miss Betty after she had a good poop the other morning. She was so content and so happy. She's been pooping great lately. The medicine and food cjhanges are helping my little girl and that makes me so happy after her constipation issues she has had!

Happy Shark Week 2020

Happy Sunday My Loves,

Hello my friends, I hope you are well and enjoying your weekend :) Mine has been good. Last night my sister and cousin came over to hang out so that was fun and nice. Miss Betty has been pooping since her vet ordeal so that has made me extremely happy. The increase in her laxative, a new medicine and prescription food seems to be helping so here is to much more pooping from her. We also had a stray cat turn up in our yard this past week that is now in a rescue with friends as he was in pretty rough shape being malnourished and other health issues. He was really sweet and now he's on the road to recovery and a new home. I am also getting a desk (finally) to set up an actual nail area instead of having to use my coffee table and sit on the couch to do my nails. It should get here this week and I cannot wait to have one dedicated area for doing my nails and keeping a bunch of nail stuff. I'll be for sure posting pics of my space once I get it up and ready :)

Onto the nails now. Tonight starts Shark Week so of course I have some shark themed nails. I absolutely love sharks and Shark Week and this is one week I look forward to each and every year. With all the strange that has been 2020 at least we still have Shark Week :)

My base is Essie "Bustling Bazaar". I sponged on some China Glaze "Flyin' High" on the nails to stamp and stamped using Maniology "Storm Cloud", Dance Legend "Grey" and Clear Jelly Stamper "015" polishes with Maniology CYO-X M103 and Uber Chic Just Beach plates. The glitter is Maybelline Color Show "Sea-Quins"
Bustling Bazaar on it's own. This is such a pretty color.

That's all for today. Have a great Sunday and be sure to watch some Shark Week this week :) :) :)

Here is this week's feel good:

"The most important thing is to enjoy life - to be happy - it's all that matters."

Audrey Hepburn said that and I love this! I know that can be hard to do in these strange uncertain times but we must still try our best to be happy and enjoy life. I know I sure do! I have lots in my life every day that makes me happy and enjoy life! I am very blessed and fortunate.

I leave you with Miss Betty the other morning so happy and content after pooping. I never thought my life would revolve around cat poop like it now does, lol. I'll take it though as long as I have my baby girl :)

In A Galaxy Far Far Away (my first try at reverse stamping)

Hi all,

I have just a super quick post today. This past week was a trying one. Miss Betty had to go to the vet on Monday and stay overnight to have her poop manually removed since three enemas did not work. She has constipation issues and this was the first time enemas did not move it thru her little body, sigh. She is now on all special food and another medicine in addition to her daily laxative. It is so sad for me when she does not feel well and she struggles to poop. She is my baby girl and it stresses me so much when she has to have medical stuff done. She is doing okay now and once I am done with this post we will snuggle the rest of the day away and be lazy. My poor baby girl. If she continues to get blocked up then the next step is removing the distended part of her colon. I hope it doesn't come to that and that this new medicine to help keep things moving along with the high fiber diet does the trick and works. Keep your fingers crossed for her and keep her in your thoughts and prayers that she keeps pooping.

Yesterday I got to see some of my cousins that I have not seen in a long time at my mom's and that was really nice. Got to hang out with my horse too which is always awesome :)

So, for today's nails I have my first attempt at reverse stamped nails which is where you stamp an image on a stamper head then color in the image with polish, let dry then transfer to the nail. It's pretty easy to do actually and I can't believe I waited so long to try it on my own nails. I chose to do a galaxy/space inspired mani for this. I absolutely LOVE the way these turned out. They are so pretty and so spacey, love them and hope you do too :)

My base is Essie "In Plane View". All the stamped images are from Bundle Monster "Kelli Marissa BM-XL213" plate. I stamped with Broadway Nails "Snow White" and then used a slew of polishes to color in the colored images on the stamper head. I let that dry and then put a sticky base coat on my nail to make the dry stamp images stick to the nail when I stamped it on. Before I stamped those I did add some random spots of Sally Hansen X-treme Wear "Disco Ball" on to add some sparkle. I added some "Disco Ball" to the other stamped nails after I stamped to add sparkle on them as well. I added one coat of China Glaze "Fairy Dust" on top of all my nails to finish. I am so happy with these and can't wait to reverse stamp again in the future. It's pretty awesome to add color like to this to your stamping. There's tons of videos on You Tube about how to do it and if you are interested definitely watch some :) Here they are!

In Plane View on it's own. I think this pretty shade of really dark teal was kinda cool for a spacey background.

There you have my first run at reverse stamped nails. Have a great rest of the weekend. Talk to you soon. Be safe and stay well! I leave you with Miss Betty, Mr. Kitty and Princess Pebbles currently beside me on the couch. I love being surrounded by kitties, it makes my heart happy :)
