Happy 6th Birthday Melly's Musings :)

Happy Monday My Loves,

Today my blog is SIX years old, wow! I've been doing this for quite a bit now. I am not going to stop posting anytime soon. I know that blogs are not the most popular things in the world any longer with other forms of social media for posting but I will continue my blog as I like to have all my nails and art in one spot and easy to find if I want to go back to look at past manis I've done. For me it's also a nice place to share some of my life. So, Melly's Musings is not going anywhere and if you do read my blog or just look at my nail pictures thank you so much for taking the time to check out my little tiny corner of the interwebs. It means a lot to me my dear readers :)

I also really enjoy seeing all the different views in countries the world over. I like to think that I am inspiring people all over with some nail ideas. So, to celebrate today I have some reverse stamped nails. I think these turned out super cute and I am so into reverse stamping lately now that I can do it pretty well :) Hope you enjoy these nails also.

My base is Essie "Throw In the Towel". I then sponged Essie "Feeling Wellies" and Essie "Can Dew Attitude" on the nails to stamp. I stamped the outlines with Colour Alike "Shadow Grey" using B Loves Polish B.00 Rainbows and Unicorns plate and Maniology M116 plate. I then reversed stamped using all sorts of polishes to color the balloon and cupcake images, then transferred them to my nails. I put one coat of China Glaze "Fairy Dust" on top of the stamped nails and on my pinkies and thumbs is a coat of Cupcake Polish "Let's Get Crazy". I did mess up the image on my left hand for the Happy Birthday but didn't realize until after I was done that the whole image did not pick up, oh well! But I do love the way the balloons and cupcakes came out.

Throw In the Towel on it's own, love this shade, so pretty I think

That's it for today, Have a great week and I'll talk to you all soon. I leave you with me as the Covid cat that shredded the last roll of toilet paper that I wore to a horse show I went to yesterday to help out at. It was the last show of the year and the theme was 2020 for the costume class that they had for the horses and their riders. There were so many good costumes people came up with. I will post more pics from the horse show in my next blog post. Today was a long day at work and I am still tired from being at the show all day yesterday so next post it is :) I think this was such a cute fun costume that I came up with for the theme :)

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like the Month of Halloween!!!!

Happy Caturday,

Super quick post and nails today. I am doing stuff around home today and then tomorrow on my normal posting day I will be at a horse show helping out. I'll have pics of that to share on Monday when I post my blog b-day nails.

I did these the other day and felt like doing my first Halloween nails of the year. In my opinion it's never too early to begin doing Halloween nails :)

These were super fast and super easy to do. I love them! They are cute I think :)

My base is Cupcake Polish "Bat-Chelor Pad". I stamped using Hit the Bottle "Moonshine" with Born Pretty Store L057 and Maniology M158 plates.

Bat-Chelor Pad on it's own, LOVE this holo :)

That's it for today. Have a great day, talk to you soon. I leave you with my girls Princess Pebbles and Miss Betty looking too cute one day this past week! I love my girls, they are my babies!

Pink Fall Meadow

Happy Sunday Loves,

I hope you are well and life is good It's good my way. I did go for my annual physical on Friday and did get a flu shot and a tetanus since I was overdue for that, so I just have a super quick post today since both my shoulders are so sore from the shots, ugh! I normally do not get a flu shot but decided to this year with Covid.

Today I have some super cute fall forest meadow stamping I did yesterday morning. I love the way these turned out but do wish I would have used a darker outline stamping color on the deer to define his lines more, oh well, still cute me thinks :)

My base is two here, on my index, middle and ring nails is Essie "Suits You Swell" and on my thumbs and pinkies is Essie "Talk Sweet To Me". I stamped using Moyra "Fall In Love" and Lantern & Wren "Finally Fall" plates with two Clear Jelly Stamper polishes that I am unsure of the names since they don't have them on the bottles. I colored in the images by reverse stamping then when they were dry I transferred them to my nails. I put one coat of China Glaze "Fairy Dust" on top of the stamped nails and on the others one coat of Indigo Bananas "SF 35 Top Coat" to finish.

Essie "Suits You Swell" (index, middle and ring) and Essie "Talk Sweet To Me" (thumbs and pinkies) on their own, such pretty colors I think!

That's all for today, have a great rest of the weekend and great week, talk soon and be safe!! I leave you with Miss Betty peeking out of a box :)

Fall Leaves Early (because I'm over this summer...)

Happy Sunday Loves,

Hello my friends. I hope you are well and that life is treating you good. It's great my way. The weather is beautiful and not hot. The temperatures are so lovely out right now. We've got the windows open and it's so nice to have a nice breeze with no loud running air conditioners. This summer was so hot, muggy and humid and I am just so over it and ready for cooler temperatures and hoodies :) I normally love Summer, however, with Covid and everything being cancelled along with the gross Summer weather I decided to have Fall come early this year on my nails. I think these turned out so pretty for my first Fall nails of this year.

I've been on a holo kick lately so my base here is Color Club "Cosmic Fate". I stamped using Manilogy "Boba" stamping polish with Whats Up Nails B021 plate. I reverse colored in the images on the stamper head with polishes that I totally spaced on keeping track of as my sister was here when I was doing my nails and we were watching TV also at the same time. After they dried on the stampers I put a coat of Orly Bonder on the nails to stamp, let that dry a bit to give the stamps something to adhere to then transferred to the nail. I then cleaned up the excess and top coated all my nails to finish. Love these leaves,, think they turned out so pretty on the holo background. Hope you like them too!

Cosmic Fate on it's own, this was a perfect base for this mani!
That's all for today. Have a great rest of the weekend, talk soon. I leave you with this deer momma and her two twins I saw leaving my mom's on Thursday. I pulled over in my car to get pics and was talking to them and got them all to look at me for a bit, it was cool. I love deer, they are such cool animals and I love seeing them out :)

Out Of This World Galaxy

Happy Labor Day (if you celebrate and are in the U.S.A.),

Hope you are well and life is good. Today is a holiday so I am off work today and being very lazy today. I had a busy weekend. Saturday Casey and I went to his nephew's wedding that was rescheduled from back in May due to Covid. It was nice, very small and informal and nice. Then yesterday I went to horse show all day. Saw lots of old horse friends and helped man the gate opening it and closing it for riders and horses to enter/exit. It was great. It had been a really long time since I went to a horse show so it was super nice being at one. I grew up showing horses and showed regularly into my early 30's (I'm 48 now, gah). I miss being at shows and around horse people. I am going to be helping out at a show on September 27th and next year I will be volunteering for the gate at their shows. I can't wait. It's going to be fun :) My aunt used to always man the gate when she was alive and she would be so happy knowing I am going to be doing it now too!

Today's nails I did this past week and just was too lazy to do a post on. I think these turned out super cute and love the holo galaxy. Hope you like them too :)

My base is Holo Taco "Blue Freeze" (just got this entire holo collection and oh so pretty and so HOLO :)). I sponged on Color Club "Miss Bliss", Color Club "Eternal Beauty", Color Club "Over the Moon" and Maniology "Thriller" onto the nails to be stamped. I stamped using Maniology "Luna" with Nicole Diary 062 and MDU Space 1 plates. I then put one coat of Icing "Frost Yourself" on my pinkies and index nails to finish these out of this world mani :)

Blue Freeze on it's own, such a pretty polish!

Here's my old horse friend Jimmy and me. I was helping him with the gate while we chatted and caught up. It was nice.

An old sign in the horse show office, LOVE this!
Here's my good old horse friend Caitlyn and her daughter and pony. They did really well at the show and she is just the cutest kid :)
Caitlyn's Corgi :) :) :)

The sign and area where people get their pics taken with their winning ribbons!
Some random shots of the show are below.

That's all for today. Have a great day and I'll talk to you later this week when I post the nails I did this morning.
