Tie Dye Nails :)

It's Monday!!!!!

Hope that your Monday is going okay.  Mine is, especially for a Monday, sometimes Mondays are really rough at work, but, today was pretty good, phones weren't really busy and it wasn't crazy like some can be, which is good, because we lost one employee that quit last week and one is on vacation this week, so, it may get a bit crazy around here this week.  I'm sure by the end of this work week I'll be so ready for the weekend!

I've been trying to do Summer nails the last few manis and loving doing them. I did the tie dye nails today and also some pink flamingos and strawberries that will both be coming up in future posts.

I started with a base of Essie "French Affair", then used a nail art brush dipped into some polish on a paper plate and then dabbed the polish onto my tie dyed nails using Essie "Strut Your Stuff", Jesse's Girl "Baby Cakes", Broadway Nails "Sour Apple", Orly "Melt Your Popsicle" and Orly "Glowstick", then did one coat of China Glaze "Fairy Dust" on top of those.  My glitter accent is China Glaze "Point Me To The Party" and then one coat of Sally Hansen Satin Glam "Crystalline" on my thumb and pinky.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these tie dyed nails, they were really fun to do and I love the way they came out.  I can't wait to do some more tie dye nails for sure :)

French Affair on it's lonesome, I love this pink.
Here's some more pics from our July 4th weekend that I didn't post yet.  These are some from when we went to see the fireworks in Galeton, PA, which has really awesome fireworks for the 4th, a couple of the awesome sunset I got at Casey's family's cabin in Potter County, my flea market finds, a bowl for doing mani bombs for my hands and nails and some nail polish, who'd a thunk it, I found nail polish up in Potter County too.  I was pretty excited and the ones I got I got for the purpose of stamping and the ones I got did stamp pretty well when I tried them out except for a few which were too sheer for stamping, but, overall my polish purchase at the flea market was a good one :) I loved going to Potter County with my Dad when we went over the years and look forward to many more memories being made now with Casey up there.  We are going again the end of July to the bus, my Dad's camp up there.  You can read about the bus in my 4th of July nails post and see pics of the bus where we stay in that one.  Here's the link to that post :)

Some pretty fireworks pics I too.  Fireworks, sparkly and pretty, what's not to ouhhhhhh.........and........ahhhhhhh.......over :) So pretty :)

Here's the sunset from Casey's family's cabin, isn't this so darn pretty and it had so much pink in it too.  Potter County is so pretty and it's part of why my Dad loved it so much too :)

The fire Saturday night at the bus (the first three pics) and then Sunday at the cabin (the last two), fire is so pretty and so warm and just so awesome :)  I love fire :)

  1.

The little bee friend that landed and chilled on my toe for quite a while in the afternoon before the fireworks.  He was cool, he just totally chilled :)
My flea market finds, my new mani bomb bowl and my new polishes. I did put a couple on the purge pile tho' that didn't stamp good.

And, there you have my happy tie dye nails, they were so much fun and I can't wait to do my next round of tie dye nails, yay :)  Thanks for stopping by and I leave you with my baby bear, Miss Betty, and my handsome man, Dino :)  Have a great rest of the night :)

Cats On Caturday!

Happy Caturday Ya'll,

Hope you are all having a great weekend so far.  I am.  Today Casey and I were out at my Mom's. She had a yard sale and did sell some of Dad's stuff and thangs, but, there's still so much more stuff and thangs of his out there yet.  Dad had so much stuff, he wasn't a hoarder, but, damn, did he have a lot of stuff, lol.  I also brushed my horse really good, he thoroughly enjoyed that and I enjoyed brushing him too :)  I do love spending time with Dusty, he's a really good boy and a pleasure to be around.  He's my buddy :)

Today I have some stamped cat nails I did a few weeks back.  I love cats, of course, and am so happy I have several stamping plates with cats or pet themed.  Makes it nice for my Caturday cat nail posts, yay :) Enjoy :)

I did a base of Orly "Put The Top Down", then stamped using a Kleancolor no name purple metallic with Uber Chic Furry Friends plate and Vapid Laquer VL 027 plate, then did a coat of China Glaze "Fairy Dust" on top of the stamped nails and a coat of a "Melly Mix" on the others.

Put The Top Down on it's own.  This is a really great neon pink and so pretty.  Neons like this I love.
That's it for today, have a great rest of Caturday and I'll talk to you all soon :) Here's Miss Betty and her big belly sleeping one day.  This little cat, I love her to pieces, I just love her so much, she's my baby girl :)

It's Nails!

Happy Thursday Loves,

Hope your week is going well.  Mine is, uneventful, and tomorrow is Friday, yay :)

I am working on uploading other nail pics tonight, but, wanted to get this post posted before I do that.  Here are some manis I have done over the last month or so.  Hope you enjoy them :)

My base here is Finger Paints "Pop Art Purple" with some flower nail decals and a coat of China Glaze "Fairy Dust" over the decaled nails, the glitter accent is Morgan Taylor "Escar-Go To France" and a coat of Finger Paints "Holographic Top Coat" on my pinky and thumb nails.  I love this glitter and this holo top coat and it's really nice to see some mainstream brands starting to come out with linear holo top coats, it's about time :)  All the other holo top coats I have were all purchased from indie polish makers.

Pop Art Purple on it's own.  This is a really pretty and bright neon-ish color.  I love it.

My base here was China Glaze "Kiwi Cool-Ada" with the glitter accent of Bitzy "Funky Melon" and Indigo Bananas "SF35 Holo Top Coat" on the rest. I was feeling lazy the day I did these so it was a fast mani I did with just glitter, lol :)

Kiwi Cool-Ada by itself

The base here is Essie "Meet the Parents", then I dry brushed using Loreal "Royalty Reinvented", Sally Hansen Salon Manicure "Resurrection", Sally Hansen Salon Manicure "Ballet Rouges" and China Glaze "Something Sweet" with a coat of China Glaze "Fairy Dust" on top.  My glitter is an unknown unnamed beauty supply glitter.  I then did a coat of Fair Maiden "Glory of the Galaxy" on my thumb and pinky nails.

Meet The Parents on it's own.  I love light blues like this, they are so pretty.
That's it for now.  I may just post again later on tonight, but, if not, then tomorrow I will.  I leave you with Miss Betty, my heart, my heart, my heart, kitty.  I love her so much, she's so sweet and loveable and cuddly and snuggly, my heart, she is :)

4th of July Smoosh

Happy Monday Kidz,

Hope you all had a good weekend and a good Monday :)  I had an alright weekend, got some cleaning done and hung out with one of my favorite friends, Freddie, from out of town on Sunday all day.  He crashed at our place on Saturday night after going out and it was really nice seeing Freddie and getting to catch up and hang out.  I hadn't seen him since Spring PDF back in May and I did miss him :)

Last weekend for the holiday weekend Casey and I had gone up to my Dad's hunting camp in Potter County, PA.  It's so gorgeous up in the mountains and I love it. It was a very emotional weekend as this was the first time that I'd been up at the camp since Dad died and without my Dad there with me, I cried a lot.  It was hard being there, but, I was really happy to be there and all weekend I felt like Dad was there with us, especially Saturday night when we were hanging by the fire, I felt Dad so strongly there sitting at the picnic table with us.  We plan to go up every 4 to 5 weeks or so to keep the camp maintained and to keep Dad's pride in that camp going for as long as we can.  He was so very proud of the bus and I am too :)  The camp is a 1939 Reo school bus that was converted into a huntin' camp and Dad and a couple of his buddies hauled the bus up to Potter Co. 50 plus years ago and it's been there ever since.  My Dad really wanted us to continue to use the camp after he died and we will.  My brother will also go up here and there too, but, not as often as we will since he's so busy with the kids and Casey and I don't have any kids, so, we can get away more often. I've got some pics of the bus below my nail pics.  I love it up there, it's so beautiful and so relaxing and peaceful.  I can't wait to go up next :) I will post some other pics from up there in my next post, wanted to just have this one be the bus in this post.

For my nails I did for the holiday weekend I used a base of OPI "Alpine Snow" then used Essie "Double Breasted Jacket" and Sinful Colors "Endless Blue" for the smooshed nails with one coat of ILNP "My Private Rainbow (linear & scattered)" on top of those.  The blue glitter is Pretty Woman "Royal Blue", the red glitter is LA Girl Splatter "Sparkle" and one coat of Color Club "Concrete Jungle" on my thumb, then I used a few nail stripers to do the glitter.  I love the way these turned out and smoosh manis are just too much fun to do and they always come out so pretty also I think :)  I did these smooshed nails by putting drops of polish on the nail, then put a piece of a cut up sandwich baggie on top of the drops of polish and pushed down and smooshed the polish around.  Hope you like them :)

Here is the bus, some pics of the outside and inside, it's awesome.  It's got 4 of the original bus bench seats still in it too, how cool is that!

The Outhouse, fancy, I know :)
Isn't it so freaking cool?  I love the bus, always have.  So many of my fondest memories I have of Dad are the times he took me camping up there at the bus, so many good memories.  Can't wait to go again soon :)

That's it for today, it's been really, really hot and humid here the last couple of weeks with no end in sight and my neck and back's been bothering me too, so, just going to take it easy tonight and cuddle with the kitties.  It's weird how this extreme heat is just as bad for my old fart aches and pains as the really brutal Winter weather is too.

I leave you today with Mr. Kitty and Miss Betty, two cute balls of love :) Talk to you soon, have a great rest of the night!

Sponged Stamped Hearts

Happy Friday Friends,

It's Friday, yay :)  I also have a half day today for the start of the July 4th holiday weekend.  Casey, myself and a friend of ours are going camping this weekend at my Dad's hunting camp in the most beautiful county in PA, Potter County.  It's nickname is "God's Country" since it's so gorgeous, it's mountains and mountains and more mountains.  My Dad's camp is a 1939 school bus that was converted to a camper style camp years ago and my Dad and some buddies of his hauled it up there over 50 years ago.  It's freaking awesome. It's got bunk beds and there are three of the original bus bench seats still in it.  It's been a bit emotional for me packing to go since this will be the first time I've gone to the bus without Dad.  He was so proud of the bus and camp and my family will continue to use it and make him proud.  He said he wanted us to use the camp after he was gone and we plan on it. I've cried a few times packing things, but, I also know that Dad will be there with me this weekend too.  Dad and I always had such awesome times at camp when I went with him over the years and those memories will always remain some of my fondest with him.  I'll be taking lots of pics and will post them when we get home and I post my 4th nails next week.

My nails today I did many weeks ago and never got around to posting, gah......

So, for these I did a base of Color Club "Factory Girl", then sponged using some cut up face scrubbie sponges with Essie "Mrs. Always Right", Essie "French Affair", Essie "Nice Is Nice" and China Glaze "Pool Party", then I stamped using Konad black polish and Born Pretty plate BP-11, then a coat of China Glaze "Fairy Dust" on top of the stamped/sponged nails.  I put a coat of Sally Hanson Salon Manicure "Tulle Kit" on top of my pinky and thumb and my glitter accent is Color Club "Love You To Pieces".  I really love how this mani turned out, the sponged nails look so pretty and the hearts totally finished it on those nails in my humble opinion ;)  Hope you likey too :)

Factory Girl by itself.  I've had this polish forever now it seems.  I think this was one of the first light blues in my collection many a moons ago.

Have a great rest of Friday and an even more great weekend and holiday if you celebrate.  We'll be going to the flea market, then meeting up with Casey's family and another friend tomorrow for the huge ass fireworks show they do up there, then on Sunday we'll be hanging out at camp and doing some maintenance around the bus and camp.

I'll leave you with Buster and Miss Betty snuggling together on the couch, these were two separate times when I got these pics.  These two are really good buds, have been ever since Miss Betty moved in with us and it's adorable seeing their kitty friendship :)  They are my babies!!!

I'll talk to you all soon, soon :) Thanks for stopping by, I truly do appreciate all my readers I have from all over, I truly do :)
