Summer Lightning Storm

Happy Sunday My Loves,

Hello my friends! I hope today finds you well and that life is good.  Things are great my way :)

This past week we've had so much rain around our area, it's been crazy.  There's been flooding in areas and the river by us was at flood action stage but thankfully did not flood anywhere bad near us.  We did get some water in our basement but not much more than we normally get during heavy rains and for that too I am very thankful.  The rain finally did stop on Friday morning and it's been really nice out so far this weekend and that has been nice.  Sadly tho' the rain is supposed to return this week and we are supposed to get thunderstorms most of the week, ugh.

Summer is a time for thunderstorms often so what better time than now to do some lightning storm nails.  I had seen other girls doing lightning and had been wanting to do some myself so here you go, my lightning nails. I think these came out super awesome.  Hope you like them too :)

My base is Sinful Colors "Rain Storm". I then sponged on China Glaze "2NITE", Color Club "Over the Moon" and Color Club "Eternal Beauty" on the nails with the lightning. I used a nail art brush with Sinful Colors "Snow Me White" to draw the lightning. I put a coat of China Glaze "Fairy Dust" on top of those nails and then a coat of Color Club "Glow Get 'Em" on the other to finish.

Rain Storm on it's own. This is such a pretty blue. I love it.
Here's a feel good since I haven't posted one in a while:

"Always wear your invisible crown."

I like this one, it's cute :)

That's it for today, have a great rest of the weekend and I'll talk to you soon.  I leave you with Miss Betty sleeping, she's so cute and peaceful when she's conked out :) I love her cuteness so much!

More Sharks For Shark Week!!

Happy Hump Day My Loves,

Hope you are well and that your week is going good.  Mine is going pretty good and it's Shark Week so I've been watching and learning sharks :)  I love Shark Week, it's such a fun week!  Hard to believe it's in it's 30th year!

Today I have my second Shark Week nails for this year.  I love these and love the different not blue base for these.  The Hammerhead shark makes me so happy.  I think these turned out so darn cute! Hope you like them too!

My base is China Glaze "Boujee Board".  I used a nail art brush and dotting tools with two OPI gray minis that don't have names to draw the sharks and their eyes and a white nail striper to draw the teeth and mouths on.  The glitter is Wet 'n Wild "I'm With the Band" and then I put a coat of Starlight Polish "Moonlight" on the rest to finish.

Boujee Board on it's own.  This is so pretty!
That's it for my Shark Week nails for this year! My next shark nails will be next month for the 6th and final Sharknado movie :)

Have a great rest of the night. I'll chat at you again soon.  I leave you with black cat love, here's all three, Pebbles, Dino and Miss Betty all sleeping with me one day.  I love our babies so much and love when all three are together with me :)

Shark Week......It's Here!!!!!!

Happy Sunday Loves,

Tonight Shark Week begins!  Shark Week is in it's 30th year now on TV, hard to believe that Shark Week began when I was 16 years old, whoa!  I am getting old, ha ha!  I love Shark Week, it's such an educational and fun week about sharks.  I actually find sharks quite interesting even tho' I never ever want to be up close and personal with any, lol.

So, for today for the start of Shark Week I decided to do some fun shark stamping.  This was a super simple mani to do with some simple stamping. I like them.  I will do one other mani this week for Shark Week, but not sure yet what I'll do!  Look for them later on this week!  Onto the nails.

My base is China Glaze "Aqua Baby".  I then dry brushed China Glaze "Wait 'n Sea" on the nails to be stamped which you can barely see, oh well.  I stamped using Essie "No Place Like Chrome" with Uber Chic 2-03 and Apipila P42 plates.  I put a coat of Color Club "Throwing Shade" on the rest to finish.

Aqua Baby on it's own.  I think is a great base for sharks.
There you have my first Shark Week nails for this year.  Have a great rest of the weekend and I'll chat at you soon! I leave you with an old pic I found of Miss Betty, Buster (RIP buddy) and Mr. Kitty. I miss my Buster every day, sigh.

Cacti...Cacti...Cactus...

Happy Finally Friday Loves,

Hello my loves, I hope you are well and life is good.  I've no complaints my way, life is good, I am blessed and fortunate every single day.  I did have a sick kitty for a few days, not sure what was up with her.  I flea treated her and she was outside in the heat so maybe a combo of both, but, my poor little Princess Pebbles didn't feel good for a couple of days.  Well, the day I decided she was going to go to the doctor she seemed way better and by that evening was completely back to her self, yay.  I hate my babies aren't feeling well, it stresses this kitty momma out, they are so Casey and my kids, we love them so much!

Also excited today since I got to see the Better Call Saul and The Walking Dead trailers going on from Comic Con this week, more yay :)

And, it's FRIDAY, even more YAY!! It's been a long work week, not a bad one, just long.  I'm so happy the weekend is here!

Anyways, on to the nails.  Today I have cactus nails I did for this week.  I love cactus and love the desert, had been wanting to do some cactus nails for a while so this week I finally did.  I LOVE them, I think they are so cute, hope you likey too.

My base is China Glaze "Sun Worshiper".  I sponged on Sally Hansen X-treme Wear ""Bare It All" for the ground and China Glaze "Secret Peri-Wink-le" for the sky.  I used nail art brushes with Essie "On the Roadie"and Orly "Coachella Dweller" to draw the cactus' on.  I put a coat of China Glaze "Golden Enchantment" on top of the cactus' and a coat of L.A. Colors "Coral Reef" on the others to finish.

Sun Worshiper on it's own, a perfect Summer bright.
That's it for today.  I will be doing some shark nails this weekend for Shark Week starting Sunday night.  I can't wait!  I love Shark Week, it's so good!

Have a great rest of the night, talk soon.  Here's Miss Betty, cute as can be as usual, watching TV :)

Summery Dry Brush & Potter County

Happy Sunday Loves,

Long time no talk, well, a few weeks that is, lol :)  Last weekend Casey and I went to the mountains to my family's camp with a few friends and went to fireworks where we met Casey's family who was staying up at their own camp the same time.  I didn't take a whole lot of pics this time but the ones I did I am sharing in this post :)  We had a blast as usual and our friends, Nick and Leah, loved it as this was their first time up to the bus and the mountains there.  Our friend, Amy, also went with, she's gone up many times with us in the past, she loves it as much as we do!!

I didn't do any July 4th themed nails this year, just wasn't feeling them this year so instead I did some summery dry brushed nails.  I really think these turned out pretty and they definitely felt super summery to me, like punch!  Hope you likey too!

My bases are Essie "Butler Please" (blue), Essie ""Come Here" (coral red) and Essie "A Crewed Interest" (peach). I then dry brushed a several different polishes on the brushed nails and put a coat of Starlight Polish "Make It Sparkle" on top of the dry brush nails.  The glitter is L.A. Colors "Fruity".

Butler Please, Come Here and A Crewed Interest on their own.
Here are the few pics I did take, enjoy!!!  Have a great rest of the weekend and I'll talk soon, sooner than last time, I promise!  I do have a few manis to get up and posted so will try to get a couple posts up this coming week.

Sharpie Nails

Happy Sunday,

Hello my friends, hope you are well and not melting away.  It is SO hot here the last couple of days and it's supposed to be extreme thru this coming Thursday.  Yesterday I took my Mom to my brother's son's graduation party at his house and it was hot, hot, but fun!  It was nice to see some of my family and my sis-in-law's family.

I got all my cleaning done Friday night and yesterday morning so today is looking to be a pretty lazy day for me.  Casey is actually doing stuff outside here and there, he sure is brave, lol :)

Today I have some Sharpie marker nails I tried for the first time ever a couple weeks ago.  I'd been wanting to try this for a while, not super in love with these but will definitely try this again in the future.

The pink base is China Glaze "Can't Sandal This" and the yellow is China Glaze "Daisy Know My Name".  I then took different Sharpie markers and drew some small lines on my nails.  After that I dipped a nail art brush in rubbing alcohol and diluted the Sharpies on my nails. The glitter on my index nails is China Glaze "Point Me To the Party".  To finish I put a coat of Color Club "Rise and Shine" on the rest.

Can't Sandal This and Daisy Know My Name? on their own.
Here's a good feel good for your Sunday:

"There are flowers everywhere for those who choose to see them."

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this one :)

Have a great rest of the weekend and stay cool, hydrated and safe outside if it's sweltering miserable where you are at.  Talk soon, I leave you with Miss Betty, Mr. Kitty and Dino :)
