Merry Christmas Candy Canes

Merry Christmas my loves,

It's Christmas day today! Merry Christmas and have a great holiday if you celebrate. Casey and I are going to his family this morning for brunch then we are coming home and chilling the rest of the day until my sister comes in tonight to give our cats their gifts from her. Sunday I went to church with my Mom and then visited with my horse and the dogs and the cats. It was fun. Put some reindeer antlers on my horse and got some cute pics that I posted below my nails for today.

I've had 24 hours of A Christmas Story on tv since last night when it began and pretty much keep it on the entire time thru the final showing this evening. A Christmas Story is my very favorite Christmas movie in existence. I love that it's based in the 40's! I love this movie!

This is now the fourth Christmas without my dad and that sucks and is hard. I miss him so much but he is still always here with me.

For today I did some super quick stamped candy cane nails. I love the simplicity of these for the day. Hope you do too :)

My base is Essie "Cherry On Top". I stamped using Funky Fingers "Gesso" with Lina "Can't Wait for Xmas 02!" and Whats Up Nails "B050" plates. I put a coat of L.A. Girls Splatter "Speckle" on my pinkies and thumbs to finish.

Cherry On Top on it's own, love this shade of red.
Here's Dusty Bucks as a reindeer horse :) I love these!!! The first one is Dusty and me :)

Isn't he too cute in his antlers as a reinhorse!!!! That's it for today, have a great day with family and friends and I'll talk to you soon. I leave you with Miss Betty in a box! She's too cute :)

It's A Charlie Brown Winter Christmas Tree

Happy First Day of Winter (or not, lol),

So today is the shortest daylight day of the year, after today the daylight time gets longer, yay! But, as awesome as that sounds we still have a LOT of Winter cold and weather to go yet, ha ha! I am not the biggest fan of Winter. I do not like the cold at all and hate being cold and since I am someone who loves being outside I'm so not a fan of the cold. The last few nights have been so cold, went down in the teens and it's been lower than normal temps for this time of year, too early for these temps, they usually hit us around mid-January or so. Oh well, just means the kitties want to cuddle all the more and I do LOVE that :)

For today's nails I decided to do some Charlie Brown sad little Christmas tree nails. I love the Charlie Brown Christmas. I think these turned out pretty cute, but do wish I would have used a lighter brown and green for the tree, oh well, such is the nail life sometimes. I still think these are cute!

My base is Essie "Toned Down". I used nail art brushes with Nicole by OPI "All About the Glam", Essie "Partner In Crime", Essie "Cocoa Karma", China Glaze "Holly-Day" and Essie "Altitude Attitude" to draw the snow and trees. The glitter on my ring nails is Sonnetarium "Snowfall" and on the rest is one coat of Orly "Winter Wonderland".

Toned Down on it's own, love this shade of stormy gray blue.
That's all for today, have a great weekend. Today I am being pretty lazy then tomorrow I am going to my Mom's church for their Christmas program then going to Mom's to see my horse and get a few pics of him in some reindeer antlers, ha ha!

Talk soon, I leave you with all the black cats, Miss Betty, Princess Pebbles, King Dino and our tabby tiger, Mr. Kitty :)

Christmas Tree Ornaments

Happy Sunday Loves,

Super quick post today as I am not feeling 100% the last several days. Have been super stuffed up and suffering with a horrible sinus headache, ugh. I didn't even muster up the energy to do my nails until around 4 PM this afternoon. I normally do them around 7 AM since I am an early bird, but today I've been sleeping a lot off and on. Oh well, 'tis the season for sickness, blurgh.

Today I have some ornament nails. I really think these turned out super cute and these had been on my holiday nail to do list for a bit now, so here you go. Enjoy :)

My base is OPI "Jade Is the New Black". I then used nail art brushes with Sally Hansen Inst-Dri "Go For Gold", Broadway Nails Gel Strong "One Fine Day" and China Glaze "Just Be Clause" to draw the ornaments. I put a coat of China Glaze "Hay Girl Hay!" on my pinkies and thumbs to finish.

Jade Is the New Black on it's own, love this green.
Have a great rest of the weekend and night, talk soon. I leave you with Mr. Kitty and Miss Betty snuggling one day :) I love that they cuddle together like this, it's so cute :)

Ribbon Christmas Trees

Happy Sunday My Loves,

Hello my friends, I hope you are having a good weekend and that life is good. It's great my way, yay :) I have a 4 day weekend so I was off on Friday and am off tomorrow. I had quite a few vacation days left to use by the end of the year so I've had a few long weekends since November and it's been nice. Been working on purging some stuff, painting some rocks and just being lazy on some of those days hanging out with the cats.

Last night Casey and I went to two of our best friends, Nick and Leah's, house to celebrate my friend Leah's birthday which is on the 11th and that was super fun getting to hang out with our friends. We have the most awesome friends in the world and any time we get to see them is the best :)

In other news my mom and sister got a new cat. He's a pretty ginger kitty and the sweetest thing. My one cat friend rescued him and he needed a home so to mom and Tina's he went. So happy he did, he's such a cool guy and we love him so much. We named him Scoot Too since he reminds us so much of our one ginger we had that went to The Rainbow Bridge this past fall. So, it was meant to be :) I plan on doing some Scoot Too ginger kitty nails for him soon!

Today I did my first Christmas nails of the season. I had been wanting to do some ribbon tree nails for the last couple years and just hadn't done it so decided they would be good for my first ones of this year and I kinda super love the way these turned out. They turned out really pretty I think even if my one star is a bit funky looking, lol!

My base is Essie "Be Cherry!". I drew the trees using a green snowman no name glitter and Broadway Nails Gel "Moonlight" and "One Fine Day" for the stars. The red and green glitter is another random snowman glitter. I think I had gotten these years ago at Rite Aid. On my pinkies and index nails to finish I put a coat of CND Effects "Raspberry Sparkle".

Be Cherry! on it's own. This is a perfect shade of red for the holidays.
There you have my ribbon tree nails. Here's a few pics from last night. This is Leah and me here. I love this lady so so much!
Here's Foxy and me, she is awesome and I love her loads.
Me with Jes and Mandy, these two are two of my very favorite peeps in this entire world, they are the absolute BEST, love these two so much!
Here is me with Scoot Too, he's so sweet! So happy I have a new kitty family member to love and spoil in my family, yay :) :)
Have a great Sunday and I'll talk to you soon with my next holiday nails which I have no idea what they will be yet.

Holy Huntin' Holiday

Happy Sunday Friends,

It's rainy and cold here today, blah... I am ready for Spring already, lol. I hate Winter and the cold, boo. Oh well! Only 4 more months of this, ha...blah! Yesterday I went to the dog school that my mom belongs to for a puppy graduation. A few weeks back I had gone with her and met the sweetest lady with a Corgi puppy that I fell so in love with. If I were to get a dog I would totally get a Corgi and would be one of those people that dressed it up all the time ha ha, but, alas I live in the city in an apartment with 6 cats so no dogs for me at this point in my life anyways. So, I do go with Mom sometimes and yesterday was really fun. I got to do a running game with Tanner the Corgi since his mom Barb had her knee replaced and getting to participate with him was really a lot of fun :) I had also made Barb a Corgi painted rock and she loved it, said it was really special to her so that was really nice too.

Then after that my cousins came to visit with their kids and that was nice hanging out with them and I got to hang out with the animals so it was a good day :)

Yesterday also started deer hunting season in Pennsylvania and I grew up in a very hunting oriented family so this was and is still a pretty big deal with a lot of people in my family and friends. Many years ago my good friend Niki and I dubbed it the "Holy Huntin' Holiday" and it's stuck with us as a nickname for it ever since, ha. Casey, my boyfriend shot a nice big 8 point buck at 6:57 AM that morning so he did really good for opening day. Deer season goes for two weeks yet. My dad was a big hunting guy and so for this year again my huntin' nails are dedicated to my Dad and for all the hunters in my life out being mighty hunters the next couple of week. I don't like much game meat but I do like deer meat and look forward to having some fresh meat for dinner tonight.

I did a base of China Glaze "Westside Warrior".  then sponged China Glaze "Give Me 'Smore" and Sally Hansen X-treme Wear "Bare It All" on my nails to stamp and stamped using a black no name pumpkin bottle polish that stamps really well with Clear Jelly Stamper "Adventure Begins" plate and Winstonia "Hunters Life" plate for the camo nails. I stamped the deer using China Glaze "Poetic" with Born Pretty Store "BP-35" plate. The glitter on my pinkies and index nails is China Glaze "Something's Brewing". I love how the camo turned out on these.

Westside Warrior on it's own. This is a pretty shade of green I think.
Here's a pic of the deer Casey got and Casey, it was a big deer.
Here is Tanner the sweet sweet Corgi. Isn't he just the cutest thing?

Me and Tanner :)
Here is the rock I painted for Barb. I think it's adorable. I had such a hard time with the head though but think it turned out good in the end :)
Here is my baby cousin Cora and me :) She's so cute.
Here's the new cat that my Mom and sister Tina adopted a couple weeks ago that desperately needed a home. He's so awesome and so sweet. We named him Scoot Too since he reminds us so much of our old Scoot cat we had :) I plan on doing nails for Scoot Too soon!
Here's is mom's dog Duke in the holiday spirit :)
Here I am spoiling my horse Dusty Bucks with treats. I love this horse so much!
That's it for today, have a great rest of the weekend. I leave you with Miss Betty, Mr. Kitty and King Dino all doing what cats do best....sleeping, ha ha :)

Happy Thanksgiving Day!

Happy Thanksgiving Loves,

It's turkey day my friends which means we give thanks for our family, friends, kids, pets, our lives and so much more. I truly have so much to be thankful for each and every day. I have the most amazing friends and awesome family in my life. I have my cats which are my heart and soul and I have a wonderful boyfriend who is always there for me no matter what. I have my Mom and every day I am so grateful and thankful that I still have her at 77 years old and really hope I am blessed to have her for many more years to come. This is the 4th Thanksgiving without my Dad which is hard and sad but at the same time I am so very thankful that I had the dad I had for as long as I did so I just try to remember the good times and try not to be sad. I am one of the truly blessed and fortunate people in the world and I do not take that for granted ever.

Today we are going to Casey's family for dinner then my sister is coming in tonight to hang out. Sunday I went to a Thanksgiving dinner with my mom that her church does so that was our Thanksgiving with her that day. I am going to see her Saturday too and visit with some cousins that are coming to visit and I can't wait for that :)

Today I have some super simple fast nails I did this morning since I was cleaning and didn't have much time to do any kind of other nail art for the holiday. I actually quite like the simplicity and colors of this mani, hope you like them too!

My base is China Glaze "Mustard the Courage", then I sponged on China Glaze "Kalahari Kiss" on the nails to be stamped and stamped using China Glaze "Unplugged" with Whats Up Nails B033 and Lina 4 Seasons Autumn 02 plates. Then on my pinkies and thumbs I put a coat of Maybelline Color Show "Gold Ignite" to finish.

Mustard the Courage on it's own, I really kind of love this sorta ugly shade of yellow :)
There you have my super simple nails for this year! Here's some Thanksgiving rocks I did for mom's church dinner that I put on the tables. People loved them and I loved giving them :) The turkeys were really fun to paint!!!

Have a great day with family if you celebrate and remember to not just be thankful today but each and every day for the things in your life!

I leave you with Princess Pebbles looking so pretty as usual! I think she's the prettiest cat we have in our crew, she's gorgeous and she knows it, ha ha!
