Holy Huntin' Holiday 2021

Happy Sunday loves 💘

I hope you are well and had a great turkey day. Mine was nice. We were at Casey's parents.

Yesterday in Pennsylvania deer hunting rifle season began. In our area it is a huge deal. There are so many hunters that I know in my life. My dad was a big hunter. My brother, boyfriend, his dad, my cousin, boss and numerous friends all hunt. I do not hunt, never have, but we do need hunting seasons to keep the population numbers at manageable levels. I do enjoy eating deer meat also. I think it is good.

It had been a few years since I have done hunting or huntin' as is heard all over around here, there ain't no "g" at end, ha ha ha, nails. I decided it was time again to do some.

So, these are for all the hunters I know and they are dedicated to my daddy. I always dedicate my huntin' nails to my dad when I do them. I am absolutely in love with how these turned out. They are good 😊

My bases are Polished For Days Persimmon (orange) and Enchanted Polish Countryside (green). I stamped using Winstonia Hunter's Life, ZZForest 1, Lina Get Wild 01 and Clear Jelly Stamper C-29 plates with different brands of stamping polishes.

Here are some pics my brother had of Dad out one year being a mighty hunter and one of him and the deer he got one year. Not sure of the year(s). I love these! His orange hat is my hat now ❤. I miss my dad, sigh.

Have a great Sunday!! I'll be back sometime this week with the first of my Christmas nails. Talk soon!

Pumpkin Spice All the Tea & Coffee

Happy Tuesday,

Hello loves. I hope you are well and good! I am great my way. The Thanksgiving lunch I had with my Mom and sister at mom's church on Sunday was quite nice. I did get to see some people I had not seen since before Covid so that was very nice. On Thanksgiving day itself I am going to Casey's family's for turkey dinner and that will be nice too.

Today I have some pumpkin spice nails. I am into pumpkin for a lot of things. I don't buy into the whole of "Pumpkin spice all the things" but I do enjoy a few, namely tea and coffee for my drinks, cupcakes, cookies and breads for dessert stuff and I love me some pumpkin scented wax melts along with soap and hand/cuticle products. So, I guess my pumpkin obsession goes more along the lines of "Pumpkin Spice some of the things" 😜ðŸĪŠ

For the nails I decided to do some pumpkin spice beverages. I have decided that the image on my ring nails is the pumpkin spice tea and the image on my index nails is the pumpkin spice coffee. I did screw up my middle nails on both hands transferring the stamps and did fix a bit but oh well, stuff happens! I do think these turned out super cute. I also did non-traditional Fall colors as I am getting a bit tired of those with all the Fall nails I've been doing lately. I really enjoy how these turned out. I think they are very ethereal looking :)

My bases are Wildflower Lacquer Beauty Is Everywhere (shimmer) and Different Dimension Rocket Man (flakie). I stamped using Uber Chic Hello Fall and Pumpkin Spice 1 and 2 and Lantern and Wren Say, It's Fall plates with different brands of stamping polishes.

That's it for now. Talk soon on Thanksgiving when I post my Turkey Day nails. I leave with Princess Pebbles sleeping in this strange and weird position. Cats are so weird (in the best way) :😉

Horse Show 2021 Nails Compilation

Happy Wednesday my loves,

Today I have a compilation post of the different horse themed nails I have done this year for some of the horse shows I volunteered at. When I was a kid and thru my 20's - early 30's I showed horses and this was one show grounds/show association that I showed at many many many times over the years. It is one that holds so many good memories and great times for me. So, this year I felt it was time for me to give back by volunteering since so many people did it back when I was showing horses. I man the one show ring's gate and help out in the show office. It is a lot of fun for me. I had not been to any shows for quite a few years then last Fall I decided to go to one when my boss told me his nieces were showing there. I ran into old horse friends and made some new ones that day. One friend asked me to help him out at the end of year show and I did. After that told them I would volunteer this year and I did at every single show that was held. It was so much fun for me and so nice to see old friends and make new ones.

This past Monday night I attended the membership meeting where I was nominated for and accepted an open position on the board for the show association for the next two years. I look forward to serving on the board and to next year's show season.

Onto all the nails. I did not do horse nails for each show as some of the dates did overlap with other important nail dates/themes. I did enjoy all of these and it was fun doing so many different horse nails this past year. I do still have to do some horse nails in memory of my horse, Dusty Bucks, who we sadly lost to old age on August 4th but I am not ready to do that just yet, sniffle.

Now the nails:

My bases here are Cirque Colors "Flamingo" (thumb, middle & pinkies) and Rogue Lacquer "Mad Tea Party" (index & ring). I stamped using Creative Shop 2S and 23 plates with Maniology and Clear Jelly Stamper polishes.

Here my bases are POP Polish "Cold Shoulder" (ring & middle) and Cuticula "Fin-Fetti Cake" (thumb, index & pinkies). I sponged on Fancy Gloss "Caribbean Green" on the nails to stamp to create the grass. I stamped using Fig Tree Plate FT02 with Maniology "Bam White", "Annato Clay" and "Straight Up Black" stamping polishes.

My bases on this is is ILNP "Save the Date" (ring & middle) and Polished For Days "Orchid Glow" (thumb, index & pinkie). I stamped using Creative Shop 180-Ukraine plate and all Maniology stamping polishes for the images.

The bases on this one is Dam Polish "Gotcha Green" (thumb, index & pinkies) and P.O.P. Polish "Slush Fund" (middle & ring). I stamped with Clear Jelly Stamper "Horsin' Around" plate and Hit the Bottle "Shadows of Darkness" polish.

That's it for the horse nails I did this year for the shows. It was fun doing so many horse themed nails. I'll be ready to do more next year when the shows start up again!

Here are some pictures from some of the shows I took :)
