Summertime Sparkle

Happy Thursday My Love Bugs,

It's almost the Friday, yay!!! This has been a long work week! Last weekend was fun, Saturday Casey and I and our friends, Nick, Leah, Amy and Sarah all went camping for one night in Sullivan County, PA on state campgrounds, it was fun. I ended up doing about a mile hike and was so sore afterwards, I'm out of shape for hikes that, but it was good :) It did end up raining on Saturday night which what else is new, it always rains anymore, ugh. Oh well, great time still was had! I've got a few pics at the end of this post.

For the nails today I have some super simple low motivation nails I did two nights ago, I was tired so didn't feel like putting a lot of time or effort into doing my nails but had to get them done since they were chipping so bad. I still had the buttons on I did last post. It's Summer time so a neon is so in order for these nails :)

My base is Orly "Put the Top Down". The glitter is Essie "You're So Cupid" and on the rest is a coat of Sally Hansen Diamond Strength "Aisle Be There".

Put the Top Down on it's own, love this bright neon :)
Here's some pics of our camping trip last weekend.

This was our campsite.
Casey and our token camp cat that goes on all our camping trips.
 Our campsite again.
Casey in his happy place with a campfire
Nick in his happy place splittin' wood :)

 A cute sign.
 Leave bears wild!!!
Some cool boulder rocks, they were all over up there.
 A pretty fern garden.
 Loyalstock Creek.
 Some pretty flowers.
Fierce girls climbing the mountain, that's Sarah and Leah :)
Cool colored flames, loves those little packs you throw in for cool campfire colors.
 A delicious s'more!
That's it for today, have a great rest of the night. I leave you Mr. Kitty from last Summer looking too handsome in our yard one day. I love this kitty so much and am so happy I adopted this guy, he's

Buttons, Buttons, Buttons

Happy Sunday My Loves,

Hope you are having a good weekend. Mine has been okay, uneventful. I cleaned and then hung out with my sister last night. I haven't been 100% the past week or so due to allergies. They've been so awful this year and I've been so miserable, ugh! I think it's how wet and rainy it's been that seems to be making it worse this year, oh well, life goes on!

Today I don't have much planned but a pretty lazy Sunday and I am so okay with that :)

For the nails today I have some cute little buttons I did this morning, me thinks they are cute. These shades of purple but look more blue since my camera really struggles with purples. These were easy, just dotting tools used. I used to love going through my Mom's button tin when I was a kid and checking out all the different buttons, buttons are cool :)

My base is Essie "Shade On". For the buttons I used dotting tools  with the following polishes: Orly "Charged Up", Orly "Saturated", Orly "November Fog", China Glaze "Spontaneous" and Sinful Colors "Snow Me White". The glitter is Pretty Woman "Purple" and on my pinkies and index nails I put a coat of Color Club "Pearl-Spective" to finish.

Shade On by itself, it's way more purple in real life, but my camera has a super hard time with purples.
Have a great Sunday, talk soon. I leave you with Miss Betty and Mr. Kitty. Miss Betty loves her brother so much and he's a great brother to her too, it makes my heart so happy :)

Rest In Peace Grumpy Cat

Happy Sunday Loves,

I hope you are well and having a good weekend. I am, yesterday I got to see my cousin, Dan, who I hadn't seen and in many years since he had moved down south and now is back up in PA. I got to meet his kids and wife for the first time too. It was really nice. They came out to my Mom's and they got to meet Dusty, my horse, too. It was a great time. Today I don't have much going on and am just kinda planning on being pretty lazy. Then tonight my sister is coming to hang out.

Unless you have been living under a rock you should know who Grumpy Cat or Tardar Sauce is. She is a cat that became an internet sensation for her face always looking grumpy from an underbite and feline dwarfism. So many many memes were made with her image on and words of grumpiness. It was super cute all the memes that came to be with her featured on them. She became a truly famous cat. Sadly she succumbed to complications from a urinary tract infection on May 14 of this year. When news of this came on social media the world was truly saddened. She entered the hearts of many people the world over, mine included. I think she was such a cute little lady and I feel deeply for her people on the loss of her.

So, today to honor the memory of Tardar Sauce aka Grumpy Cat, I did some nails for her. May you rest in peace at the Rainbow Bridge sweet girl until your family comes to join you one day.

Here's a pic of her. She was adorable.

This meme came out not long after her passing, so appropriate to honor her and to make you smile in the sadness of her death.
Here's a little collage I pulled off the internet of examples of some of the memes that were made with her.
Here's a cute one that talks about her as herself as a kitty.
My base is China Glaze "Shocking Pink". I sponged on China Glaze "Sweet As Pinkie Pie" then stamped using Funky Fingers "Dark Knight" with Bundle Monster BM-S162 and Creative Shop 62 plates. I used a black striper to do the RIP GC and a coat of Athena & Aphrodite "Maroon Dreams" in the rest to finish. I did end up stamping the nail I wanted to write RIP on by accident on my left hand so had to change it to my index nail on that hand but, oh well, what can I say, I am a blond, LOL :)

Shocking Pink on it's own, love this bright pink.
There you have my Grumpy Cat memorial nails. I think these do her memory well. The internet will never be the same without her in it although she will never really be off the internet and she will live on forever in her memes that I am sure will continue to be shared over and over for years to come. Go here to learn more about the history of her if you so desire: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grumpy_Cat

Here's myself and my newest little second cousin, Cora, from yesterday, she's a total doll baby :)
Here's my cousin, Dan, his kids, my second cousins, Sammy and Arya, and myself.

That's all for today, have a great Sunday and talk soon my love bugs xoxo

God's Country Potter County, PA

Happy Thursday my loves,

I hope you are well and that life is good your way. It's okay this way. This past weekend Casey and I went up to our family camp in the mountains and had a great time as usual. This was my Dad's camp and now my brother owns it. It's amazing up there and so beautiful. The bus is a 1939 school bus that was converted to a camp and has been in our family for probably around 60 years or so now. I love it up there so much and I totally feel my Dad there with us when we are there. He loved camp and I promised him his last week of life that I would help to keep camp going and we have been since he passed.

Of course for the weekend I did some mountain themed nails. I think these turned out super amazing and am really proud of these nails and hope you like them too :)

My base is OPI "Sailing & Nail-ing". I then sponged China Glaze "Starboard", OPI "I'm Sooo Swamped!", China Glaze "Give Me 'Smore" and Broadway Nails "Snow White" on the nails to be stamped. I stamped using Funky Fingers "Dark Knight" with Maniology X Clairestelle8 M035 plate. I put a coat of Wet 'n Wild Fast Dry "Emerald the Crown Jewels" on my thumbs and pinkies to finish.

Sailing & Nail-ing on it's own, love this blue.
Here's some pictures from our weekend away, it was so nice and relaxing. I love it up there, it's the best way to get away for a few days :) T

This is the bus, isn't it awesome!!!

Here's the view from right below camp at our neighbors, it's gorgeous.

Some shots of around camp, so pretty!

That's it for today. Have a great night and I'll talk to you all soon, soon :)

Pebbled Pathway

Happy Monday,

It's Monday, ugh! The last couple weeks have been pretty blah for me. I've had a lot of stress at work and last weekend my neighbor trapped and claimed that he dumped our outside cat at some farm. He did it because he was pooping in his yard. I had told him about a week prior that if we could get him trapped that I would take him to my Mom and sister's to be a barn cat but he never even gave me a chance. It's so unfair as this cat had been here for 9 years and has never fended for himself. I don't know if I believe that he really dumped him off and if he did I am sure it was a certain death sentence for Little Shit. My heart is broken over this and I've just been really blah about it, sigh. He never even gave me a chance to relocate him, sigh, sigh, sigh.

I did have a nice time with my Mom on Mother's Day though and this past Saturday I went to a womens church breakfast with my Mom and that was really nice. Mom did finally adopt a new dog about two weeks ago and her name is Tilly and she's super sweet. I'm going to do a post for her soon :)

So, life has been a bit strange here and there but it will be okay in the end, it always is. I hadn't really done my nails the last week or so. I did these super cool ones yesterday and love these. In my perfect world I would have a pebbled path in pink and purple in my backyard. That's what these ended up reminding me of, a pebbled pathway :) I think they are so cute, hope you do too :)

My bases are Sally Hansen Salon Manicure "King of Shadows" (purple) and Essie "The Fuchsia Is Bright" (pink). I then dabbed "King of Shadows" on top of the pink and stamped using Sinful Colors "Snow Me White" with Whats Up Nails "B010" and Moyra "Dreamology 27" plates. The glitter on my pinkies is Maybelline Color Show Lavender Sparks" and on my thumbs and index nails is a coat of Morgan Taylor "Cellophane Coat".

"King of Shadows" (purple) and Essie "The Fuchsia Is Bright" (pink) on their own, love, love these two shades together.
Have a great week and I'll talk to you all soon. I leave you with Princess Pebbles on one of our neighbor's (not the crappy one) back steps watching a pigeon one day!

Save the Bees

Happy Sunday my loves,

I hope you are well and life is good. It's good my way :) Today I have some simple stamped bee nails. We need bees, without bees, there is no life, so whatever we do we must save the bees. I think these turned out cute and hope you think so too :)

My base is Sally Hansen X-treme Wear "Sun Spot". I stamped with Funky Fingers "Dark Knight" and Uber Chic 5-01 plate. The glitter is China Glaze "Night & Slay" and on my thumbs and pinkies I put a coat of China Glaze "Lighthouse" to finish this mani.

Sun Spot on it's own, love this shade of yellow, it's perfect for Spring.
That's it for today. Have a great rest of the weekend and an even better week. I leave you with a picture from a few years ago with cats all over with me :) This one has my gray cat, Buster, in it too. RIP buddy. He went to Rainbow Bridge a couple years ago. I miss that little guy so much, sigh. There's also Miss Betty, Dino and Mr. Kitty here.
