Fall Foliage or Lack Thereof

Happy Sunday/Dead Day loves,

I hope today finds you well and that life is good. It's good my way. Thursday sucked tho', we had our first snow storm of the year and it was awful. We closed work around noon and it took me over an hour to get home, my normal drive is around 15 - 20 minutes. I was one of the lucky ones however, a lot of people I know had 4 to 6 hour drives home. It was around 8 inches of snow with sleet and freezing rain mixed in. It was awful, I am so not ready for this Winter nonsense, ugh, I hate Winter!

This year it was also rainy all the time, we had a really wet Summer and rainy Fall so far and due to everything being so wet all the time we didn't really get much vibrant fall foliage which sucked too. It seems that the trees went from green to yellow/orange and then just fell, none of the reds or purples that get thrown in during the Fall season. Oh well, what can you do, hopefully next year will be better for foliage we can only hope.

So because of the lack of Fall foliage this year I have some bland Fall nails today for that. Despite the lack of foliage I think these are pretty. The images didn't translate as well as normal. I used a new clear stamper I got and it kinda sucked, blah. Oh well, you live and you learn.

My bases are China Glaze "Central Parka" (green) and OPI "Never A Dulles Moment" (yellow). I sponged China Glaze "Sneaker Head" and China Glaze "Pop the Trunk" on the nails to be stamped. I stamped using China Glaze "Unplugged" with What's Up Nails B033 and Uber Chic 5-02 plates. Then I put a coat of CND "Jade Sparkle" on the rest to finish.

Central Parka and Never a Dulles Moment on their own. They were the perfect bases for this mani I think.
Have a great Sunday, I'll chat at you again soon soon soon :) Here's Dino and Miss Betty :)

Marble on Marble

Happy Monday My Loves,

Hello friends! I hope that this Monday is finding you well! Things are good my way :) Just a quick post today since it is Monday and I don't have much motivation tonight, lol :)

Today I have some awesome marble nails I did by using the smoosh technique and stamping together to create this look. I love these and think they turned out so pretty!

My base is China Glaze "Fuchsia Fanatic". I used Sally Hansen Salon Manicure "Grey-Dreaming" and Sally Hansen X-treme Wear "White On" to create the saran wrap nails to be stamped. I simply put dots of those polishes on my nail then took a piece of plastic wrap and smooshed the polish together. I stamped with Funky Fingers "Dark Knight" and Dixie Marbled 02 plate. The glitter on my index nails is Funky Fingers "The Notebook". I put a coat of Kleancolor "Stardust" on the others to finish.

Fuchsia Fanatic on it's own, such a pretty shade.
That's it for tonight, have a great night and I'll talk to you soon. I leave you with Dino, Miss Betty and Buster (RIP old man) sleeping one day last year.

Miss Betty, My Love

Happy Thursday Loves,

I hope you are well and life is good. It's good my way :) Today is a very special day. Four years ago today my sweet little love bug of a cat, Miss Betty, came into my life. That year I had lost both my old ginger outside kitties and I was at my cousin's kid's b-day party and my cousin Tonya's Mom was there and we were talking about me losing them. Charlene mentioned that she had a young about a year old solid black very sweet female kitty that she would like to find a good home for and I told her that I would take her. So the next weekend I went with my cousins to Tonya's parents house and picked up Miss Betty. My life changed in the best way possible when I brought her home. Miss Betty became my heart. She's such a momma's girl and the bond that her and I have is so very strong. It's amazing. I will forever be thankful and grateful to Tonya and her Mom, Charlene for putting Miss Betty and me together. I love all our cats, but Miss Betty, she's just my heart. I love her so much. Everyone that meets her loves her too due to extra cuteness and her being so sweet. She's the best. I truly do hope and pray that Miss Betty and me have many, many more years together. She's my baby girl!! Here as I type this post up she is laying up against me just a purring away :) I love her so much.

So, of course to celebrate this most special day I have some Miss Betty nails. I chose these images to express the love I have for Betty and the love she has for me. They are so appropriate for today. Hope you like them too :) Here is one of my favorite pics of my little cutie patootie. Isn't she just the cutest thing you've ever seen!!!!
For my base I used Essie "Coacha-Bella". I stamped using a Rite Pumpkin Polish "Fangatastic" with Chez Delaney "Chats & Chiens 002" and Born Pretty "BP-102" plates. I used a black striper to do the Miss Betty and put a coat of Sally Hansen Diamond Strength "Sparkling Rose" on my pinky and index nails to finish.

Coacha-Bella on it's own, such a girlie shade, so good for these nails I think :)
Now, here's some more pics of my little lady. I love her so much!
Betty playing, see how stinking cute she is :)

Betty snuggling :)
Momma holding Betty's paw. I love these moments with her :)

Sometimes I have to "rescue" her from falling off the couch. I think it's become a sort of game for her now since she knows Momma is going to "save" her :)

That's it for today and for my Betty post. Have a great day and I'll chat at you soon!

Farmer's Fair Farm Nails

Happy Dead Day Loves,

Hope your weekend is going well. Mine has been okay. It's been raining, yet again, ugh. We have had so much rain this past year it, it's been ridiculous. I'm so tired of gray, dreary and rainy days, oh well, such is life (and global warming, I suppose...).

Friday we went to our friend Mike's funeral. It was beyond sad. My heart is so broken for his wife, Tanya and their daughter, Kylee. It's so sad. Mike was only 39 and such a good guy, sigh. I guess it's true what they say, "only the good die young". His life was cut way too short. I plan to be there as much as I can for Tanya and Kylee. They are such good people and it's just not fair.

After the funeral my mom and sister went to visit my brother and that was really nice. I hadn't seen my brother and sis-in-law in a while, so that was really nice. My brother is currently laid up from elbow surgery so he appreciated the visit too. I love my brother and his wife Sue so much. They are awesome!

Last Saturday Casey and I went with his family to a little local Farmer's Fair and parade. It was nice until it started getting cold, raining, windy and then hailing about 3/4's of the way into the parade and then Casey and I left. I'm to the point with all the rain we've had that I don't even want to be in the rain and getting wet so we left. I was so cold and wet by the time we got to our car to come home, ugh.  But it was still really fun and I enjoy going every year with Casey's family who are such wonderful people too :)

So, of course for the event I did some farm themed nails. I think these came out super awesome. I LOVE the little barns :) Hope you like them too :)

The yellow base is China Glaze "Happy Go Lucky" and the green is Sally Hansen X-treme Wear "Green Thumb". I sponged some "Green Thumb" on the yellow to stamp on. I stamped using a pumpkin nail polish from Rite Aid called "Fanatastic" with Creative Shop 90 plate. The glitter is China Glaze "Something's Brewing" and on my thumb and pinkies I put a coat of Sally Hansen Diamond Strength "Twist of Lime" to finish.

Happy Go Lucky and Green Thumb on their own. These were perfect for farm nails I think :)
Have a great rest of the weekend. Talk soon. I leave you with today Dino and Miss Betty being lazy as cats are so good at :)

Witchy Witchy Witchy

Happy Thursday my loves,

The weekend is almost here, yay! It's been a long week this week.  Saturday night a good family friend died suddenly of a heart attack. He was only 39 and so young. It's so sad and just not fair, sigh. My heart is broken for his wife and daughter. So sad and Mike was a really nice, kind and good guy. His funeral is Friday. I'll  be going with my Mom and sister. After that we are going to go see my brother who is laid up currently after having surgery.  He's off work the next six weeks so he's  going to get bored and need some company, poor guy. Also, one of the last two remaining cats of my Dad's is dying, his days are numbered so it's been sad this week. It's so hard when one of those living connections to Dad

Tonight I have some more Halloween nails. This time it's some witch gear. I love how these turned out. They are cute I think 😁

The green base is Color Club "Feelin' Groovy" and the purple is OPI "Vant To Bite My Neck?". I drew the witch hat, legs and shoes using a black striper, gold striper and China Glaze "Stop Beachfrontin'". I then put a coat of BaronessX "Amatista" on my index and pinky nails to finish.

Feeling Groovy and Vant To Bite My Neck on their own
That's  all for tonight. Have a great rest of the night, talk soon.

I leave you with kitties, but, of course 😀 Here's Dino, Miss Betty and Buster (RIP buddy).

Global Cat Day or what used to be Feral Cat Day

Happy Tuesday!!!!

I hope that today finds you well and that life is good :)  Today is Global Cat Day or what used to be known as Feral Cat Day.  It began as a day to spread awareness about cats in communities that are part of trap/neuter/return (TNR) programs and as a way to help feral, stray and free roaming cats in all different areas. An organization called Alley Cat Allies who are huge advocates of feral cats and TNR began this day quite a few years ago and it's evolved into lots of people doing special things on this day for feral and free roaming cats.  To learn more about feral cats and TNR please visit https://www.alleycat.org/

For years I have done my part in helping feral cats by volunteering to help trap for spaying and neutering and also strays thru re-homing the adoptable ones that have shown up. I've shared a few pics of the three very special ferals (that turned tame) that I've had in my life at the end of this post.

I also have a few pics from our friends' wedding this past Saturday.  Now, on to the nails.

I did two bases here, the green is Broadway Nails "Sour Apple" and the orange is OPI "Aloha From OPI". I then sponged Color Club "Feelin' Groovy" on the green nails to be stamped. I stamped using Broadway Nails "Blackout" with Bundle Monster "BM-S162", What's Up Nails "B036" and Chez Delaney "Chats & Chiens 001" plates. I put a coat of China Glaze "Pret-A-Potion" on the orange nails to finish.

Sour Apple and Aloha From OPI on their own. I think these look great together :)
Here's Jolene and Chris during their first dance.

The Prancing Pony bar that is part of a Burning Man regional theme camp, it's where they met so the bar was at the wedding and it was great :)
The write up they did about meeting at The Prancing Pony and a bit about what Burning Man and what the spirit of Burning Man is.
Casey and myself :)

One of my nearest and dearest friends, Mandy and me :)
Mandy with her wife, Jes, another of my nearest and dearest.  I love these ladies so much!
Our friend, Sarah, and Casey and me. We love Sarah bunches and bunches too, she's awesome!
Sarah and her man, Kidd, we loves him loads too :)
Here is Billy, Momma Kitty and Little Shit in the back.  Momma and Billy I started feeding after we moved in and it took me a couple years to earn Momma's trust to get her fixed, then she became my sweet little girl till she died.  Billy was the first to come around, then Momma did.  Little Shit was Momma's kitten that I got fixed as a young kitty. Momma and Billy both went to Rainbow Bridge in 2014. Little Shit is still around, but he's very elusive and we don't see him too much, but I still love him just the same.

Some pics of Momma. She was my little girl and I miss her so much every day, she was super sweet.

Billy, he was the best too, so friendly he became. I miss him too every day.

A couple of the rare pics I have of Little Shit. He's so cute and I wish he would have come around more but oh well, at least we can provide him a safe place in our yard and feed him every day.

That's it for Global Cat Day.  Have a great rest of the night. I'll talk to you soon!
