Mummy Mummies

Happy Dead Day Again :)

Now I have some mummy nails I did last week.  I used a base of Orly "Off Beat" and a coat of China Glaze "Fairy Dust" on top of them all. I love these, next time I do mummy nails I do want to line the bandages more to make them more defined, but, I still love these, they are cute.  Hope you like them :)

Off Beat on it's own, Let me tell you how much I love this purple, it's a really pretty berry purple vibrant shade, I dig it.  I love purples so much.

That's it for today.  I still have more Halloween nails I am doing this coming week of bats, spiders, gravestones and maybe a couple other ones depending on the time I have.  I'm having too much fun with my Halloween nails this year, yay :)

Here's Miss Betty sleeping cute with her tail out of the bed, she's just too cute :)
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and Happy Dead Day, again :) LOL :)

Scared Eyes In The Twilight

 Happy Dead Day Friends,

It's Walking Dead Day, yay!!! I am so excited for tonight's episode.  This season so far is just Holy Walking Dead, so, so good.  The first two episodes so far this season have had me on the edge of my Walking Dead seat, it's been so good, can't wait for tonight, yay :)

Enough of my WD excitement for now tho', LOL.  Today I have some sooper dooper scared eyes in blue twilight as part of my Halloween nails this year.  I used a base of Orly "Indie" and then used a dotting tool for the eyes.  I wanted to use something different than black for my base, that's usually always the base color for eyes in the dark, so, I decided on this pretty blue for a twilight blue look.  I love the way these came out.  I used a coat of China Glaze "Fairy Dust" on top of the eyes and a random beauty store scattered holo top coat on the rest.  I love these.  I think they came out really, really cute and so appropriate for Dead Day, yay :)

Indie on it's own, it's a little more like a periwinkle blue than I my picture shows, it's really pretty.
And, there are my scared eyes nails.  I love them, I do think they turned out so cute and it was an easy mani to do as well.  I love using dotting tools, they are fun and every polish addict should totally have a set of dotting tools, but, if you don't, you can use a bobby pin to make dots on your own nails.

Later on today I am going to my Mom's church's Fall community event they do and I will be painting faces and painting nails with my Mommy and sister.  I am looking forward to it, I went last year and had a lot of fun.

In other news, we found out my Dad now has lung cancer, he's going to his cancer doctor this coming week to decide/discuss treatment options.  This just sucks so bad and we were so hopeful after he had his colon cancer surgery that they got 99% of the cancer, but, it's since spread to his lungs, sigh.  Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers.  It's been a really rough year for my family.

I will be posting another Halloween mani later on today of mummy nails I did last week too and they came out adorable too I think.

I leave you with some kitties, but, of course :)  Talk to you soon!
Buster, Miss Betty & Mommy on Caturday night last night.  I love this picture of us :)
Buster & Miss Betty napping together, aren't they just entirely too cute :)
Gypsy insisting on sleeping on that fuzzy pillow, stuff on it and all, it was cute, then Casey moved the stuff for her and she got up, silly kitty :)

Frankenstein & Vampire Nails

Happy Hump Day Eve,

Hope you are all well.  I am a-okay today and had a good work day and tomorrow is the middle of the week already too, yay :) .  Today I have some sooper dooper scary and frightening Frankenstein and vampire nails I did last night.  I love these so much and love the way they turned out. I am so happy I am meeting my personal nail goal of Halloween nails this year and I have more still planned until Halloween, my favorite holiday, gets here next week, yay!

For these I started with a base of Orly "Freestyle", which I also used in my last post with my Candy Corn-icure nails, then I used a coat of Orly "Fifty-Four" on top of my non accent nails and one coat of Out The Door "Northern Lights" on top of the vampire and Frankenstein.  I used my black and white nail stripers and a dotting tool for the white and black and used an Orly red for the blood on the vampire, but, don't remember which Orly. The Frankenstein green is a cheapie Broadway Nails brand from Dollar General and it's a pretty awesome green too.  A little smudging, but, oh well, such is the nail life. I just love these so much :)
Trying to attempt to get a pic of Miss Betty and my nails, doesn't she just look so thrilled, LOL :)
Freestyle on it's own.  I seriously love this shade!
That's it for today since I've posted a lot in the last few days, yay.  Talk to you all soon when I post my next nails which are going to be some mummy nails later on this week.

I leave you Mr. Kitty, my goofball cat.  He's such a good boy and so friendly. Everyone that comes to my place automatically falls in love with him, he really is a people cat thru and thru and he's so cute too :)

Candy Corn-icure Nails

Hello again love bugs,

This is my 3rd post since last night, yay.  Catching up on my blog posts since going and getting back home from PDF. Which, PDF was really a great time for me, this was the most special burn for me that I've had in many burns.  It was really a special burn for Casey and me, on Saturday afternoon Casey professed his love for me and me for him too.  It was so nice to hear that from him and for us both to finally say it to each other too.  I am so lucky to have Casey in my life, he's a really great guy and I truly do love him very deeply.  He's become a very special person to me, yes, I am in love, yay :)

In other news, Dad was in the hospital for about 5 days, he's got pneumonia and they found some masses on his lungs.  They did a biopsy, but, we won't find out until this week if it's lung cancer or not.  I am scared for my Daddy, this sucks.  Please pray for and keep him and my family in your thoughts.  I'd really appreciate it.

I did these candy corn or candy corn-icure nails a couple of weeks ago.  I love them.  I used a dotting tool to create this look.  I started with a base of Orly "Freestyle" and did the accent candy corn nails using China Glaze "Happy Go Lucky", Sally Hansen Extreme Wear "Sun Kissed" and China Glaze "White on White".  I then put one coat of China Glaze "Golden Enchantment" on my accents and one coat of China Glaze "White Cap" on the rest and was done.  These were fun and I really enjoyed doing these nails.

The polished I used with a bowl of candy corn.  I know most people don't like candy corn, but, I do and so do the horses.  We always get them candy corn during candy corn season, they love 'em.
Freestyle on it's own.  This is a really pretty color.  I love shades like this.

My inspiration for these nails.

My friend, Hope's candy corn nails that she did too when she and her man came over to hang out.  I love her nails here, they look so pretty.  I love all the dots on top of each other on Hope's nails.
Here's a couple pics of my baby and me at PDF.  I love these pictures, we are so happy and in love :)

This is the sky right before it stormed Friday night.  It was a really cool looking sky, thankfully it only rained for a little bit, then got nice again.  Rainy and wet PDF's are a pain in the ass, LOL.
And, of course, a kitty, this is little chunky monkey, Miss Betty, my heart kitty.
That's it for posts for this weekend.  Tomorrow night I will be doing some Frankenstein and vampire nails that I will get up this week.  Still have several Halloween manis I want to get done before Halloween.  I am having fun with my holiday nails, so much fun, yay.

Talk to you later this week.  It's almost time to start my Walking Dead night in a bit beginning with last week's episode, then the new one, yay, all the yays, I can't wait.  Have a great rest of the night!

Walking Dead Nails

Happy Dead Day, Yay!!

It's Walking Dead day, yay!  Last Sunday the Season 6 Premiere was on, but, I didn't get to watch then since I was at our Burning Man regional event.  I hate missing it, but, oh well, I dvr'd it and Casey and I watched it on Monday when we got home.  It was so good.  I can't wait until tonight's episode, I can't wait.  These nails I did before we left for PDF, our regional event, so these nails were both my PDF and TWD premiere nails.

A few weeks back on a nail blog I read, she had shown some nail stamping using a stamping plate from a company called Uberchic that sells nail stampers and nail stamping plates.  This plate is called "Zombie Love" and it's limited edition and it's all zombie related, but, even better is there are some Walking Dead images on this plate too.  Stamping plates are metal plates that have images etched into them that you paint polish onto, then scrape the excess polish off, then you use the stamper to pick the image up, then transfer it to the nail.  I have only ever stamped a couple of times, but, since I got this plate, I am so about getting some more (I have a huntin' themed one that I plan to use for Openin' Day of Deer or the Holy Huntin' Holiday in late November).  I used a base of Orly "Harmonius Mess", then stamped using Sally Hansen Extreme "Black Out" to stamp Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon (squeee..), the zombie and the Don't Open Dead Inside, then I put a coat of Sally Hansen Extreme "Shake Shake" on all nails and was done.  I love these so much and can't wait to play around with this plate some more, yay.

Here is the plate I used.  Look at the Rick Grimes, Daryl and Abraham images.  I love them and it also has Look at the flowers on it, I squealed a bit when I saw that and you can even stamp Walking Dead on your nails too.  I love this plate so much, yay, damn walkers :)  Now, there needs to be one done for Breaking Bad and the original 90210, LOL, two of my other all time favorite TV series :)
I do love how these came out.  I did stamp on the other hand but, they didn't come out the best.  I need a better stamper and some better stamping polish too for my future stamping.

Well, that's it for now.  I'll post my Candy Corn-icure later on today or tomorrow.  I have been getting so much done around home today and got stuff off of my to do list and that is awesome and now I want to do some more stuff, then later on get ready to chill on the couch and watch Walking Dead and then Talking Dead too.  So happy to have my WD and TD back on Sunday nights yay.  I now start my weekend with Z Nation on SciFi channel Friday nights, then WD to end my weekend on Sunday nights, yay for zombies......ahhggggaaaahhhhhh...aaaaaa.........

Here's Casey, Mr, Kitty and Miss Betty cat napping one day.  They are so cute, I love it and I love Casey too.

Talk to you soon, meow!!!!

Black & Ginger Halloween Kitty Nails

Happy Caturday Friends,

Hope you are having a great Caturday and weekend.  I am having a good one.  Casey and I went with his family to a Fall/Halloween parade that was held locally to us and that was fun, but, boy, did it get cold out quick, it's supposed be in the low 30's tonight and tomorrow night. I am so not looking forward to the cold.  I hate the cold so bad even tho' I do love Fall, it's that impending doom of Winter that sucks, yuck.  At least I have Casey and kitties to cuddle tonight now after being cold the last few hours :)

So, this Halloween season I am on a mission to do several Halloween inspired manis.  I did a candy corn dotticure last week that I will post either tomorrow or Monday after I post my Walking Dead nails tomorrow or Walking Dead Day, yay, that I did before PDF and for PDF since I was not home to, gasp, watch the season premiere last Sunday night since I was at PDF then, so, the candy corn-icure has to wait, LOL :)

I did these black and orange (ginger) Halloween kitty nails last night.  This is the first time I did cats freehand and I am pretty giddy with how these came out, they are so cute.  I did these using some of my nail art brushes, dotting tools (for the eyes) and polishes.  I didn't write down what I used tho', so, here you go, Halloween kitty nails to start my Halloween manis on the blog, yay, and how appropriate that I start with but, what else, cats!

My cat ring and my cat nail. I think they look so good and cute together I thinks :)

Black cat nail and black cat, Dino
That's it for tonight.  I'll be back tomorrow and will write more about PDF/vacation last weekend.  It was a really great burn and it became a very special burn too, it was nice and happy and fun indeed.  Here's Casey and me at PDF last Saturday afternoon.  I love this picture, it's a happy one indeed ;)  And, Miss Betty below, that face, that face, she's so stinkin' cute and some days I really just can't handle that cute, she's too cute :)  She's my heart, that one is.
Miss Betty
Talk to you tomorrow.  I'm going to chill the rest of the night and thaw out, LOL.  Have a great rest of Caturday loves!

Polish & Purrs,

Melly
