Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year Loves,

I hope that you are having a great New Year's Eve and are will have a good day today on this first day of the new year.  Last year was not a bad year for me, but, my Dad did die the beginning of January last year so that did make 2015 suck in regards to that.  Other than that it was an alright year overall.

Casey and I did not do anything tonight. We stayed in and it's just another night for us.  I can't stay up very late any longer either, so, again not a big deal night to me, but, I did nap a bit earlier this evening and got back up around 11 so I could see the ball drop.  Today I have been watching The Walking Dead marathon that's on AMC this weekend.  I cleaned during the day, did my nails and napped here and there. Later on today we are having some friends over for pork and sauerkraut as it's a tradition in this area to eat it for New Year's Day and it's supposed to bring you luck, whether that is true or not who knows, but, I like pork and kraut, it's good and this is sauerkraut Casey made this past Fall and homemade is always better of course :)

Here's a funny meme I saw that so sums up how I feel for New Year's Eve and staying up late.  I love this :)

I did two NYE themed nails this past week. The first ones I did was using a base of OPI "Ski Teal We Drop", then I stamped the fireworks using Sugar Bubbles Plates SBS09 and SBS12 and China Glaze "Emotion", China Glaze "Harmony", Essie "Blue Rhapsody" and Fresh Paint "Dream Catcher".  I put a coat of China Glaze "Fairy Dust" on top of all the stamped nails and one coat of Finger Paints "Sparkle and Snowflake" on my pinkies to finish.  These came out pretty I think :)

Ski Teal We Drop on it's own and it's NOT a stainer during removal, so, yay for that :)
Here are the nails I did today.  My base was China Glaze "Calypso Blue".  I stamped using Sugar Bubbles plates SBS09 and SBS12 and L.A. Colors an unnamed blue I got in a set, China Glaze "Harmony", China Glaze "Passion" and China Glaze "Metallic Muse".  I put a coat of China Glaze "Fairy Dust" on top of the stamped nails and on my pinkies a coat of Finger Paints "Daubigny's Garden" which is a really cool and pretty glitter.  I really like this glitter :) And, I think this stamping came out really pretty on the dark base.

Calypso Blue on it's own. This is a really good juicy dark blue, it's pretty and I've had this one forever!
There's my New Year's nails for this year!

Your feel good for today is:

"You're never rich until you have something money can't buy."

I love this one, it's so true and so good!

That's it for today/tonight.  Have a happy and safe rest of New Year's Eve and a great New Year's Day.  I'll talk to you all soon my loves.

I leave you with Miss Betty, Buster and Dino :)

The Boondock Saints

Happy Monday Loves,

Hope you are having a good day and had a good Christmas if you celebrate.  I did, Casey and I went to church with my Mom and sister in the morning, then went to hang out with them and the cats, horses and dog, then we went to Casey's see his family and then back home.  It was a nice day, but, it was hard this being my first Christmas without my Dad, sigh.  Today I have been totally lazy all day since we had off work today for the holiday.  Been watching the Breaking Bad marathon on AMC and cuddling with the kitties all day, so, it's been a good day.  I have BB on DVD, but, because I am such a dork and Breaking Bad is one of my favorite TV shows ever, I'll still watch a lot of this marathon too :) Casey went out huntin' today, but didn't get anything, so, still no deer meat for us, boo.

Today I have some nails I did a while back with The Boondock Saints on them.  I saw this stamping plate and had to have it as I absolutely love these two movies.  Norman Reedus is in it and I love him, totally fan girl for him, and Sean Patrick Flanery.  They play two brothers, Murphy and Conner MacManus, who turn vigilante after an epiphany and set out to rid Boston of evil dudes.  There's two movies total and they are both really good. There's been rumor of a third one to be done and I hope that does happen some day. So, anyways, when I saw this plate I knew I needed it in my life and ummmm...Norman Reedus on my nails, I'll so take it :) :) :) Love these :)

My base was OPI "Stay Off the Lawn!!", then I put some China Glaze "Starboard" on a paper plate and took a crinkled up piece of saran wrap and dabbed it into the polish on the plate than onto my nails that I stamped on.  I stamped the images using Konad black stamping polish and Creative Shop 9 plate.  I then put a coat of China Glaze "Fairy Dust" on top of the stamped nails and one coat of Pacifica "Gloss Rainbow Top Coat" on the other nails to finish.
Norman Reedus as Murphy MacManus, on my nail, love it!!!

Sean Patrick Flanery as Connor MacManus on my other thumb nail!

Stay Off the Lawn on it's own.  I love this shade of green, so pretty and lush!
There you have them, my Boondock Saints nails.  I love them and love, love, love that I have this stamping plate in my life :)

Your feel good for today is:

"Always believe that something wonderful is about to happen."

This one rocks!!! That's it for today.  I'll talk to you soon.  I leave you with the girls, Princess Pebbles and Miss Betty :) Have a great rest of the day/night!

24 Hours Of.........

A Christmas Story, yay!!!!

Merry Christmas Loves,

First I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, if you celebrate, and I hope you have a wonderful day with family and/or friends and get to eat lots of good food :)

Today I have nails to honor my very favorite Christmas movie of all time, A Christmas Story!  It's a classic, so silly, so cute, so dumb and so full of so many good parts and good lines thru the entire movie.  There's so much I love about this movie, so much!!!

TBS channel on TV also plays it for 24 hours beginning on Christmas Eve and I watch it numerous times both on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day and I actually feel a bit sad when the last one comes on for the last time on Christmas night.  I am a loser, what can I say.  The gist of the movie is a kid wanting a Red Ryder bb gun for Christmas and it's him telling the story as an adult and it's just awesome!!  I love it.

So, here you go, my A Christmas Story nails. If you've seen the movie, then you clearly know what all of the designs on my nails represent and if you haven't seen it, well, then you must right now since they are playing it all day on the boob tube :)  So, without further ado, here they are :)

The red base was Essie "Altitude Attitude" and the green base is China Glaze "Holly-Day".  The glitter accents are both polishes I got from Rite Aid several years back, a snowman polish and some off brand they also sell around the holidays. I did all the designs using nail art brushes and a dotting tool for Ralphie's nose and eyes. I am so happy with how these came out.  I love them so much and hope you do too :)

Holly-Day, the green, and Altitude Attitude, the red, on their own.
That's it for today.  Have a great day and I'll talk to you soon, soon, soon!

Your feel good for today:

"Every new day is a blessing and a new chance to expect a miracle."

This one is good, especially for Christmas Day I think!

I'll leave you with Princess Pebbles having fun in a bag that Casey brought home yesterday.

Christmas Cookies & Candles

Merry Christmas Eve Love Bugs,

Happy Caturday and Christmas Eve my loves.  Hope you are well today.  I don't have much to do today other than some normal chores around the homefront, then tomorrow Casey and I are going to church with my Mom and sister then to his family, then on Monday I get to relax before going back to work on Tuesday since we are closed for the holiday Monday, so, yay to a three day weekend :)

Today I have two other Christmas manis I did, some cookies and candles.  Hope you enjoy them :)

For these cookie nails, my base was China Glaze "Traffic Jam", then I used a nail art brush and Loreal "Go Nude" to draw the cookies on, then used Finger Paints "Enchanted Winter", Broadway Nails "Hot & Shimmery" and a Sally Beauty green glitter Santa polish for the "sugar" on the cookies.  I then put a coat of China Glaze "Fairy Dust" on top of those nails and a coat of a random holo top coat on the pinky and index nails.

Traffic Jam on it's own.  I love this shade of pinky fuchsia, it's so purty :)

For these candle nails the  green base is Orly "Enchanted Forest" and the red base is China Glaze "China Rouge". I then used a bunch of different polishes and nail art brushes to draw the candles, then put a coat of China Glaze "Fairy Dust" on top of the candles and a random green shimmer I got from a local beauty supply on the others.

Enchanted Forest, the green and China Rouge, the red, on their own.  I love that green, it's so deep and pretty.
That's it for today.  Enjoy the rest of your day and I'll talk to you tomorrow when I post my Christmas Day nails.

Your feel good for today is:

"Don't be average, be awesome."

I heart this one hard, it's awesome :) I leave you with the girls, Princess Pebbles and Miss Betty :)

All I Want For Christmas Is A Hippopotamus!!!

Happy Thursday Love Bugs,

Hope you are doing well. I am doing pretty good except I think I have a bit of a tummy bug going on right now, ugh.  But otherwise, okay :)  Yesterday at work we had our Christmas lunch/party at the office and it was good food and a nice time.  I enjoy it every year.  I like all the people I work with so it's nice getting to just hang out, eat and even drink a couple of beers during the work day :)

So, the other day I did these nails in honor of one of my favorite Christmas songs ever.  "All I Want For Christmas Is a Hippopotamus!" is just the cutest and silliest song and I love it!! So, I present to you tonight my hippo nails.  They were a lot harder to do than I thought they would be, but, I love them anyways, they are so silly fun I think :)  Hope you like them too :)

My base used was Finger Paints "Purple Pinstripe", then I painted the hippos with a nail art brush and Sally Hansen Salon Manicure "Greige Gardens". I used dotting tools to do the eyes and nose with white and black polishes, didn't write those down.  I then put a coat of China Glaze "Fairy Dust" on top of the hippos and a "Melly Mix" on the pinky and index nails to finish.

Purple Pinstripe on it's own.  This is actually more of a red purple, but, my camera has serious issues with some purples, ugh.
Your feel good for tonight is:

"Be in love with your life.  Every detail of it."

This one is nice, I like it :)

That's it for today.  I am going to lay down in bed and read a book since I am not feeling the best this evening.  Have a great rest of the night and I'll chat at you soon, soon :)

I leave you with Dino and Miss Betty cuddling on the couch.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this pic so much.  I love all my cats, but, these two are my two special ones :)

Christmas Galaxies & Peppermints

Happy Monday!!!

Good morning my loves.  Hope you are well and have a good day.  I am off work today for the last day of my staycation and up bright and early as usual.  I am so old, I am usually in bed by 10 PM or so and then wide awake around 5:30 - 6:00 AM, see, I am old, lol :) I am not planning on doing too much today, just my nails and a few other things around the home front that I want to get done, then chilling and maybe a bit of a Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul marathon :)

Today I have the first two Christmas nails I did for the year, some holiday galaxies and peppermint candy, enjoy :)

For these galaxy nails I did a base of Sally Hansen Salon Manicure "Green Tea" and then sponged on a bunch of different polishes, again too lazy to write them all down.  The green glitter on my index finger is LA Girl Glitter Addict "Purge" and the red on my pinky is Sally Hansen Salon Manicure "Strawberry Shields". I really liked these, they were so stinking sparkly, sparkly :)

Green Tea on it's own.

Then I dide these peppermint candies and candy canes.  The red base is Essie "Double Breasted Jacket" and the green is OPI "Jade is the New Black", then I stamped using Born Pretty white stamping polish and Winstonia "Have a Merry Xmas" and "W216" plates.  I then did a coat of China Glaze "Fairy Dust" on top of the stamped nails and a coat of Sally Hansen Diamond Strength "Sparkling Rose" on the thumb and China Glaze "Twinkle Twinkle Little Starfish" on my pinky nails. My stamping just wasn't behaving the best that night as you can tell on my middle nails, oh well, they are still quite festive I think :)

Jade is the New Black, the green, and Double Breasted Jacket, the red, on their own.
Today I am doing some hippo nails for that song "All I Want for Christmas is a Hippopotamus" because I love that silly song and it will be fun to do these nails :)

Your feel good for today is:

"Smile 'til your face hurts."

I love, love, love this one too lots and lots :) :) Smile friends, just smile :)

That's it for today, have a great Monday and I'll talk to you soon!!!

I leave you with Princess Pebbles being big bad yard kitty one day back this Summer, oh, Summer, how I miss you so :) She's such a pretty cat and a sweetie too :)
