Holo Top Coat #3

It's Friday, yay!

Happy it is the weekend, it was a long week, yet, still went quickly.  I'm going to keep going thru and purging some stuff, nails, reading and cuddling the kitties.  I love weekends :)

I have the third holo top coat today on a base of Orly Bonder, two coats of China Glaze "License & Registration, Pls." on all nails, one coat of Candy Lacquer "Sugar Water" (indie) on my accent nails, then one coat of Stardust Polish "Holy Holo" on the rest, then one coat of Seche Vite Quick Dry on all nails.  I really love this holo as it's got a more lavender than gray in the base.  I also got to take these pics outside today while there was some strange ball of round fire in the sky, but, I'll take it, it was so nice to be in that light by that fire.  I went to get cat food and litter at the Feed Store today and took these in the Feed Store's parking lot and a couple in the bank line too.  I like that I got outside pics for once, especially since it's a holo, yay!

I leave you with a pic of one of the Feed Store girls.  This is Boots, Chris, the owner also has two solid black girls too.  I love the Feed Store kitties, they are really sweet and good girls.  I love going to visit them.
Boots, isn't she sweet, her and her sister, Puss, are becoming old ladies now, but, they love life.  I give them treats each visit :)

Holo Top Coat Comparison

Happy Hump Day Eve,

Tomorrow is Hump Day already, I'll take it.  This week is behaving naughty.  It's cold and work's been a bit stressful so far, but, tomorrow is the middle of the week, yay!  I will be going out to spend the evening and night with my parents to spend time with them and Dad with his health not so good now, boo.  Just happy I am getting this extra time with them and I get to see my sister and my horse too, yay.  I'll get some current pics of Dusty Bucks tomorrow night and post them next post.  I love my horse so much, he's a really good boy and a sweetie.

So, in with my Holo Series, I have my holo top coat nail wheel comparison post today.  I have them numbered and will list them under the pictures.  These polishes should all be able to be bought still.  I got all of mine online except for the Piggy Polish, I got that at Rite Aid.  I am not good with posting links to buy, but, you can google the brand and find the sites that way.  Radical Self Reliance and all that :)  I like the ones I have as they do go from the sparser ILNP ones to the densest CBL.  I have a holo top coat for every mood.  I always use a creme base and a sparkle/glitter/holo top coat.  I don't own any holo polishes except for couple scattered opaque ones, a few LA Girl, Zoyas, Orly Mirrorball and a few others, but, I only use them as accent nails or for nail art.  I just like having the option to holo/glitter/sparkle any creme the way I want it, so, only creme bases for me.  These are all one coat over OPI "Roadhouse Blues".

And, there you have my holo top coat comparison.  I hope this was helpful if you are looking for holo top coat and every nail polish addict needs at least one holo top coat.  I have the Burners Dozen (Burning Man) of one short of a dozen, which us crazy burners are definitely minus one and not plus one like the Bakers Dozen, LOL :)

I did do a mani tonight with my Pretty & Polished Halo top coat tonight.  I'll post those on Thursday night when I am back home.  I leave you with a good night and sleep tight from our big bad outside farm country cat living inside now for Winter, Mr. Kitty.  He's a good kitty, but, boy, does he have cabin fever so bad right now, poor guy.  Isn't he adorable?  I am going to get him a top hat and bow tie for a photo op cuz' Mr. Kitty so needs a top hat and bow tie.

Holo Top Coat Series #2

Hi Friends, It's Monday, ugh.  Mondays are so rough at work, today was very long and trying, it was Monday and it's freezing out to boot, yuck.  I am so over the cold, Spring really needs to spring ASAP!!!

Tonight I have the second holo top coat in my holo top coat series.  I used my Mentality Holo Top Coat for these.  I started with my base of Orly Bonder, then two coats of China Glaze "If In Doubt, Surf It Out" on all nails, then a coat of Candy Laquer "Rainbow Sherbet" (indie polish, on my accent nails, then one coat of Mentality "Holo Top Coat" (indie) on all the rest, then a final coat of Seche Vite Quick Dry on all nails.

                                                   Polishes Used:
Orly Bonder, China Glaze "If In Doubt, Surf It Out", Candy Laquer "Rainbow Sherbert", Mentality "Holo Top Coat", Seche Vite Quick Dry
If In Doubt, Surf It Out on it's own.
That's all for today's nails.  I will be doing a mani with the 3rd holo top coat tomorrow night.  I'll try to post those tomorrow night.

Have a great rest of the night and stay warm, baby, it's cold out. I plan on spending the rest of tonight cuddled up with the kitties, mainly Miss Betty since she's always wanting the cuddles and snuggles more than the rest of the brood.  I leave you all today with some Black Cat love, all three of my black beauties.  I love Black Cats!  They are the BEST :)

Holy Holo Day & Walking Dead Day, Yay!

Hello all,

Happy Holy Holo & Walking Dead Sunday!  Harley, above, say's "Bwooff....Bwoofff..".  That's Mom and Dad's sweet therapy dog, Harley.  She's a great dog, I love her, I love Labs, such good dogs!

Hope you are all well.  It's alright here, Summer came, it's about 40 degrees out today, yay!  It's not bad at all today except of course the 4 or 5 inches of snow we got, yuck, but, it's warmer today and Spring is about to be sprung soon.  I am so  ready!!! I spent the weekend going thru stuff and purging stuff along with starting to organize/get ready some of my camping gear since Spring really isn't that far away and neither is Spring PDF (our regional burn), yay!

So, I decided that I wanted to do a little series here with my nails and all of the holo top coats that I own that you put on top of any polish to turn it into a holo polish.  I love my holo topcoats.  I will be using a different holo for the next 11 manis I do.  When I get done with this post I am going to paint all the holo top coats on a nail wheel and post next post, then again at the end of my series for comparisons.  I love holo top coats, you don't have to buy a bazillion holo color polishes, just holo top coat any creme (that's all I use as a base for my nails) and boom, holo polish of any color you want :)

I hope you will enjoy all the pretty bling and sparkle over the next "Burner's Dozen" manis.  "Burner's Dozen" is the burner (Burning Man) version of the "Baker's Dozen" which is plus one and us crazy burners are definitely so minus one, lol, so, we get the burner dozen of eleven :)

I am also going to be using indie glitter accent nails thru this as most of the holos are indie polishes that I buy online.  I also do like to support the indie polish girls, they put heart into their mixing.  Onto the nails ;)

For these, I used a base of Orly Bonder, two coats of Sally Hansen Extreme Wear "Wing It" on all nails, then one coat of Candy Laquer "Sugar Baby" (indie) on my accent nails, then one coat of Indigo Bananas SF 35 Top Coat (indie) on the other nails, then finished all nails with one coat of Seche Vite Quick Dry.  I love these Candy Laquer glitters, they are so vibrant and pretty and the glitter goes on very nicely, you don't have much placing to do, it's great small glitters that I love.  I have 4 other Candy Laquers that I will use thru this series also. .

                                                          Polishes Used:
Bonder, Wing It, Sugar Baby, SF 35 Top Coat, Seche Vite

Wing It by itself, a really pretty purple, this is out on displays now for Spring.

That's it for today.  I want to start working on my nail wheel painting.  I love swatching glitters and sparkles, it makes me happy, then it's Walking and Talking Dead, yay!  I'll talk to you tomorrow for the second holo post of the nails I did today.  Hugs and loves and hugs :)
